changing the close-to-death effect

is there any way you guys can change this effect, which is now the dizzy moving one, to the blur effect of the flashbang grenades? i mean, like the flashbang effect (which is a white screen followed slowly by a decrescent blurring of the screen) reversed? the screen grows blurred and you can't see nothing
i mean i've never been close to death (knock on wood) but i've been dizzy after a long run and stuff, and this dizzy moving effect feels just unreal.. i think this would be a nice reality improve
it's kinda confused but i hope you understand hehe, thanks

This has been discussed before, apparently the problem is a lack of available shaders in BF2.

Yeah I have passed out multiple times, blood loss one time
Its not wiggly like is now, but more a fade to black.
i think this would be possible

Yea, the LSD effect just seems odd. I think more of a haziness/blur would work well.

no the 1p effects from what i understand are hard coded, and this was the best suited effect.

the deal is, we dont think it's the best suited effect, the blurred vision would do better IMHO

Too bad there is no tunnel vision and noise suppressing effect.

What about the one when a grenade goes off close to you? There's the ringing and the blurred vision. I always thought that would be the one best suited for it.

I think they do have a "tunnel vision" view; it is when you are out of boundary or if you are on fire. IMO the current "near death vision" is fine, but it would be better if they had the coughing, the "your on fire! /out of boundary" black/darkened view with the "grenade going off near by" effect and slowly fading darker and darker. Sorry if this post made no sense whatsoever, I'm still working on my English.

so? don't get me wrong but Rhino is a mapper, some coder's feedback would do good

How about not bieng able to shoot when you your shot to near death.

I think the 'dimming-cause-i-ran-into-a-molotov' effect is best suited for the close to dying effect. The wavy blur is a little disorienting and out of place, meanwhile, the tunnel vision/screen darkening seems more appropriate for the loss of blood... it'd be cool if your hearing started going too.
