Hey, I wanted to screw around and learn my new video editing software, so I remixed the official PR .5 preview.
I added more colour back to it, before it was all white washed. Then I just re-cut it.
The qualities bad (especially sound), but hey, thats youtube.
The origanal:

My remix:

If your wondering about the music, it's the original english version of the song used during the club scene in Collateral. It's called Ready Steady Go. I picked it cuase I like Collateral

also because it doesn't have much words that distract from the video. Also because the "Go" part fits perfectly into the end when it shows the reality mod site address, as in "go to realitymod.com"
Anyways, show your remixes too!

Original music is way better. But nice job on the remixing and such. Why was it so much shorter though?

I liked it, though the quality needs to be better and it needs to be longer. I like the original song, but I don't know if it was the correct choice of a song for the video exactly, but this one is very good too.

That's Paul Oakenfold, right? I was never that much of a fan of his.
One of these days I'm going to set PR to some kickass IDM.

Note guys: this is NOT anything official, it's just me screwing around. Just making that clear.

When I was exporting it, I could either get a 300mb very high quality, or a 2mb low quality (I should read more on exporting options, I'm sure theirs a middle ground). I chose the 2mb because youtube only allows to 100mb.

I thought this music would of went pretty good with it and also the tournament promo video when they finish with it.

I'm thinking of making a new remix with either Rammsteins "Benzin" or "Mann geggen Mann.

I liked it. Good music. Nice action shots. I did notice a few times where it would have been good to jump cut.
Jump cutting is going from one scene, to another, back to the original, then back to the new one.
So for instance you had a shot of the Merlin, then a very short shot of the Littlebird drop off. You went back to the Merlin but IMO it would have been great to go back to the drop off.. then on to the next thing.
Overall, pretty cool. Saturation never looked great to me, though.

Thanks, I'll use jump cuts in the future.

rammstein fan! yay! i love rammstein! cant get enough of em!
i don't think either of those songs would suit a promo vid...maybe Du Riechst So Gut because it would suit the fast paced segments of the video, or better still Links 2 3 4 because well its a marching song...mutter might go with the slower paced scenes. Heirate Mich would be fantastic because it starts so soft, for the setting up scenes, then just bangs into the hard guitar with those thudding drums, say when the Abrams hits the jump
anyway what i was going to say as well was that song ready steady go was also used in the borne identity (bourne?) and yeah it does fit nicely with the video. its a good song for chase sequences. like prodigies breathe now thats a good one for chase sequences...

Oh, I didn't know it was used there also. Interesting. It's one of my favourite movies.
