i just got bf2 last week and just downloaded PR. but when i load it up no servers come up is there something else i should download? what are some other good mods to download?

Is your Battlefield 2 updated to 1.41? If not download it first and before, delete the installed Project Reality client. After you have totally updated your Battlefield 2 to 1.41 install the Project Reality again.

If your game is updated this might get tricky

Why so quick to assume you'll never ever get PR working?? unless you were just curious of other mods like PR.

Welcome to the PR world.

If you don't have any servers on your ingame list, most probably, you have to check your internet filters (under server list). First make sure that you don't have "ranked" box selected, also, boxes that must be selected are: same mod, same version only, punkbuster and all three map size boxes (16, 32, 64).

There are PR 0.4 and PR 0.322, they are awesome, but they are kinda old.

Remove 'Ranked Servers' from the filter when searching.

The mappack makes about what? 70% of that 1.6 GB. You get them all.

that's cool, but like i said i just got the game last week so i am still figuring this out and don't say i should just know. i just got cable so until now i've had dialup and haven't been able to play games online.

quick answers to someone who says they are new to online gaming (due to upgrade from dialup) is in order. remember all the silly little hurdles you had to clear when you first started
