Cobra

The cobra is way out of balance with the other two attack helos right now. I like the realism with only having 14 rockets, but it is not balanced with the other two choppers. The MEC and chinese attack helos can reload their rockets and hold far many more. I'm not sure if the cobras rockets are stronger or something, but if they are, it is only a slight difference. It still takes 7 or so direct hits to take down another helo, when it should only take 2 or 3.

i havent flown the other helis in pr yet other then the cobra but i do know the control of the cobra is way out now. allthough the speed and missile damage is more accurate. in bf2 the missiles had no more splash damage then a bullet.

But the cobra only has 14 rockets and cannot reload, but the other helos can carry several loads.

He means as ordnance, BrokenArrow.

I have seen the AH-1W with 38 Hydra and 8 TOW or Hellfire, but not sure if it's a standard fitting. Those stub wings were pertty short and it looked almost like the Hydra pods were touching the TOW. I think one of the TOW missiles on each side may have been removed to accommodate them.

The AH-1Z Cobra (which is the model allegedly in-game, but the model is a bastardization of AH-1W and AH-1Z characteristics) has a larger wingspan and con accomodate that load more easily.

Remember, also, that how much a helicopter can carry depends on weather conditions.

umm the cobra can reload just land back on the helo pad and you re arm

^^^^...

I think people call that an inconvienience ingame since if your over one side of the map and fire 8 missiles or whatever it is then you must return to reload it gets to be a pain.
Id just like to see the secondary guns/cannons be as powerfull as they are in the vids ive seen on the net.

Yeah, but the chinese helo can reload mid-flight. Which means if I fire all my rockets in a dogfight and don't take him down, he can chase me down while I go to re-arm.

why don't they slap a better engine on the cobra and apache and then put one more missle mount on the side of each wing, would cool IRL, the more firepower the better

Helicopter dogfights are soo easy, if you have 2 people in them, the gunner usually kills then soo fast with the main gun.
