PB error message problem

Hi all,

A co-worker of mine has just started playing BF2/PR 0.5. Each time he joins a server he gets kicked after about 30 to 40 seconds. He can play single player all day without issue. He can also create his own server and play that way without issue. He has tried to update his PB manually, but it doesn't help at all. It doesn't matter if he is trying to play vBF2, or PR 0.5 it still gives the same error message. He's got 1 GB memory, and an AMD 2.4 Ghz CPU, and a Nvidia 6800GT card. Like I said, single player works fine without any issues. Anyone have any ideas what going on?

Here is a screenshot of the error.

Reinstall it.

That's what I recommended, but he asked if I would post to find an easier way before he uninstalls/reinstalls everything. I'll just tell him to wipe it out and start over.

If that doesn't work then the install file's probably corrupted (the maps).
Try downloading it again from a different source.

Ok, I told him to just uninstall/reinstall, and go re-download the BF2 patch, and PRv0.5. Thanks. I'll let ya know how it turns out for him.

You know if he's using imagefile instead of original DVD?
That CAN cause some problems

He is using the original CD-roms that he purchased from Best Buy. No imagefile. He has BF2 only, no addon packs. And the PR 0.5 mod, that's it.

Oh, silly me. Now I just feel STUPID :) He has both I'm sure. At least I assume he has both. You all know that assumption is the mother of all F-ups. Hehehe.....
