After a month of PR gaming I want share some ideas about using VOip in game.
Undoubtedly, Absence of voice communication in squad extremely badly affects fighting efficiency.
Often enough happens, when I get in squad with two UK players I cannot understand and half from their negotiations because they use usual, the native language. And I think that many players experience the same difficulties with an average level of knowledge of English, and do not participate in negotiations as their level of English considerably below. Anyway I hesitate of my accent.
To one of decisions could become use simple expressions especially by Squadleader. Please , more mercy if u hear accent in yuor squad.
Other factors stirring to active use - absence of common language. As avia-simer with the long-term experience I know that inside sim-community is actively used real slang real pilots. Acronyms, code words and phrases simplify understanding and accelerate transfer of the information. For example compare " Jonathan_Archer_nx01- the opponent behind you " and "red2 check six".
Set of such idioms we can take from real military practice, something especial to BF - create by community.
i think would be cool has one word codephrase "redborn" from squadleader that mean "don`t respawn on me, it`s dangerous,cos i`m takin heavy fire" or "lemmings!!!" to designate group of enemy running to your location.
I think u can get idea, despite my bad english. )

It's a good idea for ppl who has language problems, however i think that's pretty hard to implement. Since the majority speak a decent english and the ones who's not, don't really care and just shout out anyways =)

You'll probably get into to it when you've played a bit longer. Don't mind your accent and just try to communicate the best way you know how. That's the only way to improve your english. I promise you, no one will make fun of your accent! And if they do it's probably just some new guy who's straight in from 'nilla BF2 or counterstrike. And he'll leave PR within 2 hours after starting playing since he cant get i33T kills or what not

GL with the VOIP and if you find me on your team join my squad and we'll see if we can understand each others accents =)

I prefer North, South, East, West, NW, SW, NE, SE, etc. I hate "TO YOUR RIGHT" when someone says twelve o clock, six o clock, fine. But when it gets to 2 o clock and such, it gets a tad annoying.

Oh, Has forgotten to mention one more idea. Whether there is at the DevTeam an opportunity to specify icons in 3D world for your squad except for a name also show slotnumber of player in squadlist. 1 it SL, 2 for the second player in the screen squad, etc.
many players have not readable and unpronounceable nick in game (myself for example) and it would be easier to address under number (again I about Green3)

mabye we should havea sticky or wiki on ways to say things like "enermy" in different and most common languages and the main phrases i wouldnt mind learning if it helps my squad understand me.

I started a thread some time ago that we could use to put down some words/slang in, which would help communication.

Failed miserably, just got stupid answers back.

Its not that hard to learn and its fun even the guys that are not that good at English can get with it

Sometimes I run out of breath, or can't think of what to say next on VOIp.

Just when youre fed up with how things are going you get very sarcastic(not sure about the spelling)

Having discussed all this here, in forum, it would be possible to lay out this list on WIKI for general acquaintance. PR community it is relativly small, and we know all as easily spead slang word, once heared

hmm well when i play i played with english people and can understand them you just have t oget used to it and just ask if you missunderstand something.

Sometimes when people use too difficult English words I don't understand it. Don't know if I speak with an accent though, I think so.

The only 'foreigner' I've played with is American. Damn being on the other side of the world with time difference and high ping! I'd be so rapt palying with someone with a cool european accent. Especially Russian.
I did chuckle a bit though when my fellow Aussie yelled out "Crikey!" when he got shot the other day.

But yeah, one of the biggest probs I have with voip comm is when two people try and talk at the same time. I know this may be slightly silly...but do you (or are you willing?) say 'over' at the end of every comm? Also, and I'm culprit of this, is that when people say "I" instead of your name or something and the other people are left wondering "who's 'I'?"
