Project Reality Forums

Okay. I've not been overly active in these forums and in most cases my involvement in any outside forums usually boils down to PR matters for Tactical Gamer. I've got my hands full with my own community and forums so being a "regular" elsewhere is rather difficult.

That being said...

I just want to congratulate the Project Reality team on making a truly unique and top quality mod. When TG first started hosting PR I wasn't overly interested in playing, simply because I had tried far too many "reality mods" in the past and often ended up being disappointed. Not to long ago I actually decided to re-install BF2 and PR 0.5 and give it a whirl. I just can't express how pleased I was.

Sure, there are some bugs and there are issues with some of the gameplay logic, but what game that you've gone out and paid $50 for didn't have those types of issues? The PR team seems to be responsive and timely with moving this project forward and relatively open when it comes to community input. I have honestly not had this much fun with a BFx mod since Desert Combat was first released for BF1942.

Thank you to all that have put in your time and effort into developing this product. You've all done a great job.

I agree. This is my favorite mod out there.
I play this mod exclusively!

I concur - I only installed and started playing this 2 days ago, and already I have to say this is one of the finest mods I've played - ever.

Seconded (original post, that is ). This mod is breathing new life into a relatively old engine and I agree it's the closest thing to DC for BF2 yet in terms of significantly extending its playability and longevity.

my top 6 mods for various games of all time

in no particular order.

Lord of the Rings -Total War for Rome - Total War
Napoleonic 2 - Total War for Rome -Total War
Desert Combat (including varients like DCX) - BF1942
FH - BF1942
XWW2 - BF1942
Reality Mod for BF2

Seriously though, I played this and thought sod it I aint play vBF2 again. I was asked to Download POE2 and for me, I couldn't stand it. Back to BR

POE had the biggest player base for BFV
DC had an even bigger player base for BF1942
PR I think has got the biggest player base for BF2 atm

I was online and I saw about 10 - 15 PoE2 populated servers and about 20+ for PR

I have resigned myself to never getting that Sgt. Major promotion in vBF2..... and I DON'T CARE!

What is this vBF2? It sounds so vaguely familar, I must of forgotten all memories of it as a defense mechinism!
