[Help] Crashing when mapping with pr

I am using Rhino's tut to make maps on pr_edit
I load to right before join game and get this...

File: D:\Aphrodite\BF2_1.4\code\BF2\RendDX9\TextureManager.cpp

Text: Texture not found menu/nametag/usmc/minimap_cp

All i have in my map is terrain
and 1 flag with spawnpoint (which im sure is the prob :razz: )
plz help

Also explain to me how spawnpoints and objectspawner work with pr in the editor

hmmm....

sounds like you messed up the object copying and a texture was not copied over.

you have to copy the team config from an existing map into you init.con file in your level folder....its looking for a non existent team....

here is an example you could past in to the init.con

here is each teams setup in the current version...

look in you init.con and pop one of these in...

yes you add 1 part of that code for the kinda teams and kit setup you want for your map and you are fine.

Oh yeah, how do you make a new team? As in a team recognized by the game? Because I can't find team info anywhere in the archives.

k flags work but now i when i place spawn points they dont work

I tried all rally points as objectspawners and they dont work either

read the main tutorial...hehe....we are not gonna answer everything.....there shouldnt be any reason the spawn points dont work IF you have set them up properly...make sure they have teams assigned to them would be the only biggy...


BTW...when you say they dont work....what does that mean? you cant see them on the map? did you try both teams? are the flags set for one team or the other? lots more information is necessary...

yes there were flags for each team assigned

i place spawnpoins and rally point objectspawners to see what worked but when the map loaded the flags were visible but there was nothing to spawn on

you sure you are saving to the rigth layer of the map (ie, 16, 32, 64 etc) and you are testing that layer when you test your map ingame?

k i figured it out i had to make a separate layer (not typical)

but now its worse
when i load in and sapwn the ground is level and black so the heightmap and detail texture dont work

I redid the whole map and same thing

Then redid on bf2 mod and workerd fine
Am I missing something

bad timing fro us buddy we are bogged in the next test build suggest the tutorials or other r-con mappers could probably help you out...
