I've been playing PR for a little over a week now and I can't belive how amazing it is. This mod is absolutly crazy!! Thank you guys very much for the hard work. I could not have asked for a better game to play. The guys who made this should have made millions off of it rather than EA and Dice. I know Dice made the engine, but still BF2 has nothing on this mod.

Also, I can't beleive POE2 won first for 2006!! No one is ever on it, and it is EXACTLY the same as BF2 with different maps and guns. So boring compared to PR. I can't wait for .6.....thanks again!

To be honest , 1.15 POE2 > 0.4 PR .
0.5 is more fun then POE though ..

Gah do not mention POE2 to me. I'm still grieving over our loss!

POE2 is a very high quility mod and had as much right to win as PR. next person I see say POE2 is a sh*t mod i will ban for a day, and if you have any [R-XXX] tag then you dont want to know whats comming!

Agreed. POE2 has done great. Great models, maps, and other stuff. But it has its own traits, as does PR.

Played POE2 when 0.4 was launched, and as a tankwhore i just loved it.

It has so many cool features : " smoke-flares-chaff-thingie" from the MBT, some old MBT has a TOW mounted, request smoke from the commander before an attack...many great maps. Talk about MBT moving through a village in wast numbers, locking for the enemy..huge firefights.

Combined with the infantry part from PR and it would be the ultimate and higly addictive game you could possibly come up with.

Whoa man....I wasn't bashing anything! I was trying to give you a complement. Its like saying coke is better than pepsi....Thats doesn't mean that I think pepsi is sh*t!!
You obv. have some talent in game modding and your maps are awesome in the game dude. Good work! But thats really sad that I try to give you a complement and get threatened in return.

PR is perhaps the greatest computer game I've ever played in my life. The only games that rival it in "time spent playing" would be Doom2 and Quake. And back then I was just in high school so obviously I had a ton of free time to game.

I'm not. Can you imagine how overrun we would be with short spawn servers and their ilk if we'd gotten the gold?

I like POE2 but I have not reinstalled it since formatting. Have any releases come out since the first release?

Also, how are server pops? If they are too small I wont reinstall since there will be nowhere to play.

I'm starting to wonder if all these 'noobs' (not my words) filling the servers now are here because they got bored of POE2 and needed their 'shiny things fix'.

I'm a noob. I moved because game time is now tight (Family and all). I was tired of frag-fests. Did that in college with quake (and doom). I wanted more of a challenging play, not just a shoot and die game.

I first started with BF2142, moved to BF2 then found this mod two weeks ago. I haven't looked back. The 2142 disk is now a dust collector.

ah i disagree, I think that right now the vehicle combat of PR is the best aspect. Nothing more satisfying than a MBT squad on basrah with 2 three man tanks, all coordinating and communicatiing perfectly on voip

Yeah POE 2 is fantastic. The enormous amount of content is incredible as well as some great new game modes/gameplay changes. All in all, kinda hard to compare with PR. THey cater to two different types of audiences IMO

I have to agree completely with the OP. I just started this mod about a week ago and I'm having a blast.

Supporting a knowledgable SL in PR is probably some of the most fun gameplay I've had sitting in front of this computer since running in a Cap the Flag league on MW4.

I hope the tournaments are as fun as they sound!

Umm..this is the first time I've heard of PoE2...and their website is hard to nagivate - so could someone quickly give me a short heads up on what's different in PoE2? All I could figure out is that there's a few new skins and what looks like a German side.
