a suggestion about MEC/USMC light AT class

im not 100 percent knowledgeable of the limitations of the BF2 engine but i was curious would it be at all possible to use a different model for the MEC/USMC/CHINA light at classes? the reason i suggest is because it appears that the light at class uses the default anti-tank gunner model from vanilla bf2 which looks kinda dumb because he constantly has a javelin/eryx strapped to his back so you end up with for example like a USMC using an at4 but hes also got a javelin strapped to his back its looks kinda weird. maybe you can use the rifleman model?

maybe use the engineer model for the special forces? boonie hats are actually used by special forces and it looks cooler than the dumb baseball cap that the special forces model uses

Yeah you can do that. I've also noticed that and its bugged me. But thats probably because I make movies and inaccurate representation bugs me...

Boonie hats are used by anyone and everyone who wants to wear a soft cover in combat uniform.

Do our US helmets do much against bullets anyways or is it just a shrapnel guard?

They definitly stop bullets. I've read many an article of personal accounts of bullets being stopped by our kevlar.

suggestion for anti-tank class

let me just say right off the bat i dont know the limitations of the bf2 engine so i dont even know if my suggestion would be possible but here goes.

for the USMC/MEC/CHINA light anti-tank class i know that the character model is the same as the model used in vanilla. the problem is, say for example your using USMC, the character will have a Javelin strapped to his back at all times, even though he is using a AT4 in project reality and the javelin is reserved for the heavy at class. and it looks real stupid when hes actually holding the AT4 because he still has the javelin strapped to his back. it just doesnt look right at all.
So my suggestion is, is it possible to switch the character model for the light at class to say, the same model used for rifleman? im talking just the character model, not the weapon layout. leave the light at layout the same, just switch character model? is it possible and does anyone else think it would be a good idea?
or could just change the javelin model strapped to his back to an AT4 model?

You just posted this in another thread, so I am going to merge it.

I noticed that too, I was guessing it was a cover for the AT weapon, to prevent any damage to it... it would be cool to see it changed !

I assumed it was just to be a work in progress thing. Surely the dev's aren't that ignorant to miss a skin job like that.

I, too, always assumed it was a WIP thing? It it hasn't been planned, I'll add my voice to those suggesting it be changed. :)
