well last night on our server i think i had the best match i had ever had on muttrah city. even though we lost the match, we (USMC) had pushed the MEC forces all the way back to their last CPin the wastelands. we lost the match 4 - 0. i belive the key to playing this map as USMC is playing a .4 style and relying on your SL very heavly as opposed to RP's.

thanks too all who played last night on the [DVB] server, it was one of the best games i have played in a long time!!!!!

If the map was balanced, USMC would win 50% of the time on a public server. The fact that you feel the need to post on these forums about your not-quite-so-bad-as-usual defeat suggests that you are confirming the lack of balance in this map.

Not neccesarily....I tend to think that childish, younger players tend to play as USMC more often, so they can play with helicopters and jump around on the carrier, making them just a 'worse team' in general.

Yet, you pushed them back to their last CP but they still won..
hmm.

It's amazing how the carriers seem to attract shitty pilots. People don't end up with crashing helos that often even on Al Basrah.

my point in this thread was to show that muttrah was not un beatable. i will be the first to admint that it is difficult to win as USMC. that being said, it is not impossible, if the proper team work element is present then it can be done on a regular basis. i belive that people have gotten to frustrated with it from day 1 of .5 .
a well functioning team could beat it often. but unlike the MEC, teamwork is more heavily required on the USMC side in order to this. i guess it comes down to "you can mod the game, but you can't mod the players" ....... which ever dev stated that first.

all and all it was one of the best matches i had played (even though we lost) in a very long time.

Always fun zooming around on a LB full of grenaders and riflemen, dropping fragmented death on the heads of your enemies.

I was on MEC for that round and it was a good game. The map is unbalanced, but I like it that way. I will say that the MEC team was unorganized and running all over the place and really didn't put up much coordinated resistance until the very end and even then it was pretty weak. I shot like 5 or 6 guys on USMC in the last 5min of that game which helped us to win by a slim margin of 4. GG tho.
