I just stumbled on this while on the US Army website, it's a manual on how they plan to modernize the Army from 2008-2015, about the time PR is taking place supposedly.
they talk about UAV support, the future combat system (http://www.army.mil/fcs/) stryker brigades, airlifts (i know it's impossible) and a whole lot more.

Just thought i'd post this to see if any could be implemented

Yea, PR took UAVs out.....but an attack Predator UAV could be inserted....a sort of uber-strafing bot, but only available to the commander, and if the SL requests it...and make a big spawn time for it, so it could be used every 10-15 mins ...

I believe the only reason why the game is set slightly into the future is too give them control over the story line whilst still using modern day technology for the most part. Just assume that those development plans were scrapped ;)

change the plane model to use the UAV, change its altitude and from bombs to one pinpoint missile :D

Yep, thats what I had in mind...but maybe just a small bomb and the drone should come under angle and fire with miniguns or similar at and around the target, then dropped the bomb/missile and left...maybe make them detectable, so AA kits can shot them down...

Looks good, not entirely sure how relevant it would be though since PR only has the Marines as a playable faction so far, unless they're planning to add the Army (which would be nice, especially for the ACUs).

Yeah, it's been stated many times that the Army is being implemented for some future release

The faction in PR is "US Military." If it were only the Marines, many if not most of the vehicles, including ones from vBF2, would not be in there. :)

We have repeatedly stated that we are working on differentiating on a map by map basis between US Army/Air Force and US Marines/Navy forces, and have permission to use a 3rd party skin of the ACU.

Could make it like the jets in Battlefield Vietnam, it would only point targets out to ground forces when you were flying over the area. You could have a manned UAV, which spawns slowly. You could make it impossible for ground infantry to see the UAV w/o a squad map having a sort of radio kit, or an APC being in the area. I'm not sure how that works irl.

Please tell me you won't be implementing the new USAF 'Tiger Stripe' digital pattern... ick. I got to see it at clothing sales last week and I'm not impressed :-(
