Concerning Rally Points

If you select another squads Rally Point, you should be spawned at the spawn point closest to the selected spawn point. The have been several times where Rally Points were so close together that you could not tell which point you selected.

For example...

Lets say you are Squad 1. If you select Squad 2's Rally Point, you spawn at the capturable base.

If you are Squad 2 and you select Squad 1's Rally Point, you will spawn at your Rally Point.

It's not a problem if you have a competent SL who puts out your rally.

They would have, but right now this is the best they could do with time

I think they are already fixing this for new versions. If i remember correctly rally points that arn't your squads just wont show up on the map at all.

No ability to prevent them from showing up if they are not yours. No ability to show them in a different color if they are not yours.

Calculating "nearest" CP is something we tried and was tedious to get right so we opted for the current method.

It's really not that hard to find your own RP imo.....

You can try to zoom in on the map?

Do you ever tried to zoom the Spawnscreenmap?
It doesn't work.

Sometimes when 2 RP are close together you can only guess which point belongs to your RP.
In the worst case you see only 1 point for both RP.

True, but you can look at the 'normal' map and try to find out which RP is yours by zooming and then return to the 'spawnscreenmap' and select your RP (must admit it's not that easy though).

Or at least that could be done. The more I think of it, the more confused I get. Oh well, it's been a long day for me already :o .

I do know which of them my RP is but I did not know which SP belongs to my RP. ;)

Use your caps-lock map to zoom in and see which direction your RP is compared to the nearby one.

So if your RP is just north of the other, go to your spawn screen and click both alternatively, and take the northernmost circle.

Its not that hard, the spawn point is in the bottom left of the squad number, so in the pic squad 3 rally was the one that was higher and slightly to the left.

Its all about attention to detail...

OK, so right there you've got not 3, but the other one selected. Ask your SL if he's got an RP, and if he does but you don't see the number, that's the one. If you're squad three, then select the other one.
