WTF?

Today, I was minding my own business, flying around in my blackhawk, going to insert a sniper on top of the Hotel roof at Basrah, I'm almost there and suddenly an A-10 flies under me, clips me, and blows up, I manage to stay alive, just lose some rudder, but I get that sniper on top of there, all is good right? Well, I'm flying to the helipad for repairs, and boom, another A-10 (Snyp3r_Jesus I think) rams me from behind and tries to blame it on me by saying I shouldn't be flying on top of the runway, well, I was flying perpendicular to the runway, and got hit from behind, what the hell? Just thought it was a funny story.

Why don't you complain to DesertFox about it? Though, in my experience, Snyper Jesus is a nice guy.

sounds like good grounds for litigation, to me - wear a neck brace to court

Will to be quite honest, the runway accident was really your fault. The A-10 is a fast moving aircraft and has to rearm and repair by landing and flying over the runway, but on the other hand the UH-60 Blackhawk is a slower moving aircraft which can hover at one spot. So while you have the ability to hover, land at any appropriate location, and fly in reverse direction, the A-10 does not. The A-10 has only forward control while in the air and at high average game speeds as 700 km/h it is much harder to control such a large airplane. Therefore you’re the one who has to look at the minimap and check for traffic before you move "perpendicular" to the path of the runway where a possible A-10 could be taking off or landing.

Yes, but my point is that he hit me from behind, and yes, the A-10 is fast moving, and the mini-map is small, so what wasn't there a second ago, could be there the next. He didn't land or anything, he flew from behind me. Even if he was landing/taking off, he had plenty of clearence. Not trying to say he did it on purpose (which at first I thought he did since it was the second A-10 to crash into me), just thought it was a funny story.

I'd say 90% of all air accidents in PR, involving fixed wing aircraft are totaly the jets fault.
They got the speed and manouverability so they chose where and when.
...mongol...

This is one of the things why I prefer to stay with my feet on the ground in PR.
It's very stressfull to fly in PR because you will get shot at when landing to repair/rearm and so on.
Also, teamkilling for planes and choppers is somehow more annoying then in vBF2.

I agree with you mongol, if not 90 then 95% a jet or A-10 should know where it's flying and too should the blackhawk, but the A-10 I've always experienced can usually see the Blackhawk before the BH sees him.

There has been a lot of complaints from the devfile server being posted on the "PR Forums"!!!
Isn't there a Devfile complaint thread!?
Either DesertFox ain't doing the right thing and controlling these people, or he spends too much time on these forums.

The solution to not hitting anything in a jet is simple. CTRL+ mouse left and right movements. That's how you avoid hitting someone else when flying low-level or turning a corner, look! The number one rule of flying: LOOK OUT!

Despite my crazy flying habbits ive never been rammed by an A-10 transporting players. NEVER. So kids obey the traffic rules. Look both ways, stop on red, etc. etc.

This isn't so much a complaint as a tale of a funny story, I'm still in disbelief that two A-10s thought fit to sacrifice themselves on me.
Another thing, the BH pilot (especially when he is about to land) does not have much situational awarness, he can't press CNTRL-Look or he'll crash (and in my case I can't anyways, I have a HOTAS setup) and bringing up the map will take away from your concentration. The A-10 has plenty of time to pull up.

Fly over the Runway once before landing. Would you jump off a cliff, knowing not if there was water there?

No, but would you expect a hand glider to slam into your side on its way for a landing?

Yeah most crashes are jet's fault, tho I've had my share of morons who thought that my rearming A10 on landing strip was a rearm point and landed on the A10...
