Can we get some backblast for the AT4 like that please? and of course for all the launchers?

Note: After the second one is fired of the guys that fired says "I can't hear". Can we have that sound too? and possibly add a hearing lose effect?

We already have backblast. I don't think it's woriking though.

Yeah I know there is a little puff of smoke and stuff and fizzle of a sound but it would be cool if there was actually a siginificant effect that came from firing the AT's.

Now you can be in a group of people and jst run up and boom lunch it and run off and the only thing to be seen is the smoke trail. The back blast should be like the tank fire ... of course not as heavy but with some dust and some crazy sound.

I know this was brought up alot when the AT4 was brought into the game but maybe now thats its in and as I am aware it will remain, to bring in the cool little effects that make it the AT4.

Yes, and make is so that you have to stand at the back end of a building to fire your RPG into the air, and make it so that to fire from a room would be suicide. Then you can get rid of deviation (as long as they have to have their crosshairs up for 5 seconds or so before firing accurately).

However, until this is implimented, deviation remains necassary as a counterbalance to sniper-RPG-rounds going off everywhere into the sky.

I would love to see some backblast.

I'm sure that I read in the wiki that there is back blast and that if you stand to close behind someone using an AT missile you get injured.

The blast from an RPG will give severe scoulding (burns) and blown of fingers......serious problems. This would add another level or realism....if this was implemented there would be a hell of a lot of TK'ing in the first few weeks as people forget to check whether anyone is behind before letting one go.

Trying not to TK is half the fun of the mod though...

Anywho, the guy shouting "I can hear" is more from the 2 M2's rocking and rolling right next to him compared to the AT4's. Gotta love having to call 'Cease Fire' about 20 times in a fight before the gunner finally hears.

On a completely unrelated note, I support this measure whole-heartedly. I can't wait to launch an RPG in front of a close-knit sq-, I mean, with careful checking of the area behind me. ¬_¬

Oops. But also I would believe that since that had such a low db that it would have acted like a giant subwoofer (Like that speaker in Back to the Future) which was turned on and off in a second. You know speaker busting shit.

Anyway, this is being put in, I already practice the Fire, Fire, Fire! Shout through VOIP b4 i shoot a rocket. Just to get ready for when it's real.

If I remember correctly from the book Black Hawk Down, the militia mounted metal plates on the back of their RPGs so they could fire them up at sky without burning their legs, I wonder if something similar would be implemented?

Wasn't there a movie back in the 80's where some terrorist fires an RPG from inside a room and blows his buddies out the back windows. I wanna say Bill Murray was in it... Kinda sad, the only example I can think of realistic back blast and its from a comedy.

There's a Singaporean shoulder-launched AT (guided, I believe) rocket system that doesn't cause any backblast to speak of. Momentum is transferred to plastic buffers which spray out the back instead of hot gasses. I believe it's based on a German design.
