Hey, ive been playin bf2 since its release, and playin PR for 3 months.

Just reinstalled windows for optimizing my play in the upcoming PR tournament.
Ive searched google and this forum and i could not find the answer

What i wanna know is; What is Antialiasing? Does it slow down my pc if i boost it up? does it have any effects on my pc?

Thanks in advance!

Ryan

Image

Left one is without and right one with anti aliasing
It basicly just softens edges and improves image/video quality.
Yes, it does slow down your PC a little but if you have a new graphics card it shouldn't be a huge problem.

You'll find more details with Google..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-aliasing

that tells you everything about it in full detail.

basicly its a merhod to make ingame models look better quility on your screen, less pixeley etc. But it takes up a hell of alot of your GPU and only really if you have a really good PC you will want to be using it. if you have it off, it will not do much to your PC, if you have it at 2x (like me) you will see a pretty big improvmant without using that much recores, but still, quite abit. then to get the most quility but full wack on your PCs hardware put it on 8x :p

I never bother with AA on, even tho my GFX card can probably handle it.
