hi all
I'm really looking forward to all the massively impressive changes for 0.6 but I have 1 problem which would really soothe my nerves.
since my computer tends to load the game in random speed I never know when it finally starts.
so I'd like to suggest to remove the blacksandstudio gunshot.
it always scares the living sh*t outta me.

Don't know if it'll add much to the gameplay, though

And it's good to be scared. It prepares you for the war that lies ahead.

If you want to disable it, you can rename the file so it doesn't load. Cannot remember the exact 'walkthrough', and as I'm in work atm I cannot check it out myself.

Just look for bss_intro.bik or something in:

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\Movies

and rename it to filename_old.bik or just delete it.

Good suggestion for the scaredy cats . You can just lower your volume before you start the game or just take Gaz's suggestion to get rid of it... I actually got rid of the loading intros a while ago because I don't want to wait through those intros to get to the log in screen...

An epic intro movie would be awesome too, even though it would ramp up the download size and everyone in this thread is talking about getting RID of intros

I think its time we changed the intro since the BSS logo has also changed.

Append +Restart to the end of your shortcut. I think that works. Can't check atm. Pretty sure it does though.

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +playerName <whoever> +playerPassword <whatever> +restart
