Claymore, C4, IEDs - Pick up after placing it?

Is it possible to make it so we can pick up claymores, C4 and IEDs after placing it? Its realistic and it is needed. If i place a claymore on a flag, I see no enemys and I take the flag, I want to pick up the claymore and go to the next flag. I dont want to waste it. We can pick up grappling hook`s and AT-mines, so why not claymores/explosives? Or, you can give a WRENCH to the AP kit and we can use that to pick up the claymore. (If you are going to remove the AP kit, and give the claymore to the Engineer kit, you already have a wrench, which is very good.)
Discuss this idea please.

EA was going to do this for a patch but failed, and they can mod the engine, we cant so the chances of us being able to do it the same way they wanted to do it (with the g key) are almost none :p

thou removing them the same way you remove mines might be possible.

Yes, this is the best idea i guess. IF you are going to give the claymores to the Engineer kit, you have a wrench, so this would be great. The C4/IEDs is also in the Engineer kit, so you can use the wrench on that too. I hope it is possible to code this..

Can't we just give it to the engineers? I dunno how claymores are allocated in real life but I find it hard to believe that a standard grunt would get them.

Can you compare the Grappling hook with the C4/Claymores?
In other words, use the grappling hook as a template?

the special forces get them to secure their camp areas sometimes, but in the vietnam war, the grunts got claymores they could use to set up ambushes and jungle camps, so it all depends on the mission, if you are going into a offensive operation it would make little sense to give them claymores, but it all depends on the character of the operation and the "SOP" in place.

Is it possible to pick the grappling hook back up? How do you do that?

G :-) :-) :-)

I told a guy to pick his hook up lastnight on devfile and he wouldn't do it! leaving another trace of us being on the roof and a way for them to climb up and kill us! annoying, we must educate :D

Believe it. Claymores are and always have been a commonly issued item to regular infantrymen depending on mission tasks/terrain and rules of engagement. They were and still are used in the command-detonated role to initiate an ambush, and for perimeter security. The combat engineers are usually responsible for placement of anti-tank minefields and other anti-vehicle obstacles, but infantrymen are trained in their use and are sometimes issued them as well.
