But will there be night maps in PR one day? Maybe not the next release but in the future. So a simple yes or no would be nice.

OMFG FOR THE 1 BILLIONTH TIME THERE ALREADY ARE NIGHT MAPS. You just have to turn the contrast down on your monitor to access them.

it seems that the night maps don't work very well because of shader issues
also the darkness can be made lighter by adjusting your monitor gamma so it's not really a night map anymore.
the Devs have said stuff like " in the future" etc but I havn't seen anything posted about it in .6 ................so it's gonna be a while

Ok so i see it as no one really knows and the DEVs wont give a straight answer. Well at least i can stop asking for now.

Night maps will not be in 0.6.
They may return in the future (we'd like them to) but we don't know yet. There are a few things that need to happen first. We can't give you a definite answer to a question we don't know

The main thing is for custom shaders for mods to start working. Either that or we require everyone to have Special Forces. Which we're not going to do.

That looks like a sweet map but i hope its done right. I think a lot is riding on the lighting effects.
