Add more transport vehicles?

i was about to post this before it was locked
the problem here is the lack of vehicles , if you want a HAT kit , you need to spawn at the main base ,but what do you see ? no cars , no APC , no nothing because one squad at the begin of the round take both cars/APC as a taxi , abandoning it somewhere ,in the midle of nothing .
taking for example EJOD , both (votnicks and APC) are always in the city , so if you want the HAT to be in the front , you need to travel all the desert walking

i think that is unrealistic .
any chanse to add more transport vehicles ? like 4-5 cars per side

More bikes.
they break easy and are no threat unless it's Jihad time.
Also they don't give ammo.

the fact is that bikes arent used in a combat very often , maybe a variant of a hummve without ammo ?

I don't know about that, I saw a vid of an Iranian bike battalion, looked pretty scary to me.

I agree, some more motorcycles would be pretty cool, those things are really fun. Here's my motorbike that i built up over 3 years, tried to make it look like a WWII currier bike as much as possible. All homebuilt and hand assembled. Only thing i didn't refurbish was the 80cc motor on it.

LOL 77, i am sorry, i really did not realise you could gets H_AT's anywhere else.
I could have requested a supply drop with utter ease on that map and that would have solved alot of our problems.
I also realized the best squad layout should be for an Anti armour squad on that map:
1 - SL
1 - Medic
1 - Rifleman
1 - H-AT
This makes for a totaly selfsufficiant squad, and keeps numbers of players to a minimum, 6 was way to many, most of the non-H-AT peeps where bord and 4 bord players attracks way to much enemy fire.
However, i still agree with having more transport jeeps. On a map with 32 players on each side, there should be atleast 3 transport jeeps minimum, on smaller maps 3 would be acceptable but on ones, particularly larger than Ejod, there should be 4-6 BUT with a good long spwn times.
Like all vehciles, provide a fair number of them but have a nice long long repswn time on them to ensure people do not consider them totaly expendable!

The Iraqi army had motor scooters with a driver and an rpg guy on the back, looked funny as hell but I bet was also pretty nasty to deal with, assuming they had time to deploy them.

I believe you're thinking of the Iranians during the Iran-Iraq war. Supposedly they would weave into armor formations and fire almost point blank into the sides and rear of the Iraqi tanks.

Yea, it was the iranians who deployed motorbikes and scooters.

I think the problem is lack of dedicated Transit crews, on Maps like Al basrah where you have 2 blackhawks always running insertion is no problem. for maps like EJOD maybe add a 5 ton truck

Not sure if this is even possible but...
If every full squad had its own transport vehicle. To drive the vehicle you have to be part of the squad it is assigned to. If your squad goes head long into battle with your vehicle and then leaves it, then your screwed until your squad recovers it or it's destroyed. Make the respawn time several minutes so that it increases the value A. to using it to it's fullest potential and B. the value of destroying the opposing teams vehicles.
You could tweak the ammo abilities and nerf the mounted .50 cals if need be or simply leave them as is. I do agree that a few more vehicles would be nice to allow you to regroup or move as a squad.

I agree we should get some new trucks like the above poster showed pics of. Im sure it wouldnt be that hard to model, those trucks are rather simple.

IRL, a squad is a assigned a hummve and theres always a driver. Soldier keep spare ammo inside too.
SL requestible Jeep (main flag)
mobile Rally point?

Sounds silly. Basrah bikers of doom perhaps?
That WOULD take balls to drive up alongside a tank. They must be sponsored by no fear.
