Pleace fix SVD's rate of fire . Now in PR you can unload the whole mag within 1 second , while IRL it is 1 shot \ 2 seconds ( 30 \ minute )

Are you telling me the semi automatic reloding system, takes around 1-2 seconds to remove the spent cartridge and chamber a new round?

Becuase most semi automatic rifles do this in like less than 1/5 of a second.

Unless the russians designed it this way, what you are suggestings seems really odd. I mean, the bolt action relode system on the Lee Enfield, allows the firer to get rid of the spend roudn and load a new one in like around 1/2 a second, and that is manual!


In RL, it does take longer time to steady your aim, but the BF2 engine, i think, models this very crudely, therefore the player has little or no visual indication when his charater has steady his aim enough to be able to hit the target.

You sure that isn't the recommended rate of fire not the maximum rate of fire?
I'd find it hard to believe that any semiautomatic weapon could take 2 seconds to cycle....

mate , SVD can't shot faster , max rate of fire is 30 shots per minute . Practical rpm is 3-5 .
And now we see how guy in PR unload his clip into enemy in one second ... realism ? Hell no ! It should take 20 seconds to unload SVD mag .

um, i hate to break it to you. a semi auto will shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger, however, accuracy goes out the window.

Being semi-auto it can fire as fast as you pull the trigger but with the recoil it would be more reasonilbe to have 30 accurate shots per minute.

Do you have any other evidence besides a throw away line from a website?

Having fired a dragunov many times I'd have to catagorically call bullshit on your post.

Reyals , yes , a friend of mine shot SVD . There is some kind of stopper so you cannot shoot faster then 1 round \ 2 seconds
