EDIT

guys we need to help out the new players in this growing community!

yh they have videos and wiki guides but still some players may need more
i suggest holding Squad training sessions on private sessions that can give th new players som experience on how to perform tactics and things like that tips ect ect.

Veteren Squad leader we need you!

if you are willing tobecome a drill sgt. and help out the new players post here also if you wnt sessions post here or PM one of the sgts.

a good place to train is probably the Ghost Dogs training Server since it has a password and we will probably not be disturbed

ive forgotten the pass. so could some one just post it u here please.

anyways if you want sessions just post here or PM me

just helping out the community

Search Youtube for "project reality squad training".

So is this like Tactical movements or just a "test out all the stuff here so you don't screw up other servers"
if it's squad based tactical movements, i'll help, I'm pretty good at teaching bounding overwatch to people.

hello him_j!
I thank you for your short "squad training" yesterday, in Mao Valley, you were SL.
I have read guides, I have saw "PR training videos" (but not understood every words :D ), one hour on the field with a good leader as tutor weigh more than 10 hours spent to read all the guides.

I am willing to give some training lessons in tactical movement. We need 5 players to fill a squad and they should be arount GMT timezone as I am. Players need to know the basics of course.

Would be good to have two squad that have been instructed face of against each other, with one of their number squad leading, the 'instructors' taking the commander role to watch and feed back. That, or face an experinced squad that has dug in somewhere and see how they deal with it etc.

thing is, the people that want to be taught need to know which countries training they want to do, the americans have very different training to the brits for example, and the germans have different training to the americans and brits, all this bounding overwatch stuff is american i believe.

plus, this so called "tactical movement" isnt found in any of the servers ive been, and to say that we need to "help the new players" in the community is almost laughable when i see so called high ranked members in servers acting the same as everyone else.

Theres also the language barrier that needs to be overcome, some people may not understand the "lingo", the training will have to be adapted and such to suit members who do not understand the language fluently.

Also, do any of you actually understand infantry tactics in a RL situation, im not saying that people are making things up im just asking if the people who are going to be teaching people about things are actually going to give them accurate information.

i mean to help people understand how to do basic stratagies in PR

Flanking
suppressive fire
fire teams
advancing
extractions
insertions
special operations
teaching them how to listen to orders
not to fire at enemies on special occasions

and maybe help the new players learn how to fly from the pros since flying an aircraft in PR is quite difficult and very different from VBF2

i live in england and that is GMT so if i start training at say 8:00 here it would be around
5:00 EST

Hve you watched the videos I linked him_j? It's basically exactly what you're talking about.

yh i have
but the thing is people might try it and not complete it properly
they are very good videos imo but some new players may not know how to perform these tasks efficiently a good SL can show them how to do it even beter because you cant ask a video a question but you can ask a SL

edit:
the thing is i need a server to do this on an empty one preferably

Ghost dogs password
him_j wrote:ive forgotten what it was or they have changed it

is this the password: GDpractice
??
cant member the password if anyone knows could you tell me please would be a nice place to train

also found a good ventrillio server we can use

all i need is tht password for the Ghost dogs server and im good to go

as for flying we can have 1 vet and someone training in the passenger, the vet, does a take off (pointing out engine warm-up time) do a simple land and strafing manuvers and then the trainee do the same thing and the vet critiqes the trainee, i'd be willing to help in something like this.
