Wanna practice your flying... Not alone!?

If anybody is interested, now that i know how to set up a local game, ill be practicing with a friend for a couple of night this week, so if you wanna join, pm me or add me on xfire to get the password...... if im on xfire, the server is up.
So finally, we could practice our flying without being named a retard by a sexually frustrated player when a lil mistake is done and we could also try to shoot moving target cuz its like life in general: when you always just play with yourself, you eventually get bored.
ps: anybody know other map than gulf of oman , where there is cobras and jets?

I had a great practice session the other day on DevFile. For some reason the server was empty, so I hopped in a cobra and started practicing with it (something I never really do very much-- at least without a gunner). I'd go around and hydra spawn cars.
Before long someone joined, and I figured I'd have to stop, since I didn't want to air-rape him. But as luck would have it, he was very good with the SA-7, and said he didn't mind a grail/cobra deathmatch. So he'd give me a general location, and I'd hunt him down. It was a lot of fun, with a lot of narrow misses. Soon some more people joined, and we had a nice little 10 vs. 10 game. My squad was all airpower, with me on the ground with the M95. I'd call in airstrikes using attack commands, and every now and then engage a lone target myself. Tons of fun.
I will have to check you guys out though. I'm a horrible jet pilot, and only marginally good with the cobra and BH (I'm pretty good with an LB though), and I'd like to improve so I can be a better all-round fighter.

To practice dogfighting, just use the lockon. DONT SHOOT THE MISSiLE.
The longer hte lockon the higher the chance of getting hit. Therefore try to get away from the lockon.

Is there anyway someone can make a server that spawns in like dozens of aircraft and choppers?

I hear you there.
I'd like to learn how to fly helis as I'm more than useless.
Query to good heli pilots: do you use mouse, k/b, joystick or combination?

Not that often, but it would be nice that when I do crash, that I would have another chopper or jet waiting for me rather than waiting 5 minutes. That is, in a training environment.

Yep, got the add, Golden. I use a combination of Joystick, and keyboard. The keyboard is my primary throttle, as W and S, my joystick is used as my secondary throttle, which is usually set to deadstick of 14%.

If you're going to practice some more, hop on xfire. Didn't see you on there all night.

I'm usually always on, and sometimes available, I use a 7.60 Sesitivity,7 yaw and 8 Pitch. BTW, also on my last note I use A and D for my rudder controls for my flying too, as my Joystick doesn't have rudder, my other Joystick does, but it's WAY easier with A and D. If anyone needs help just Xfire me, we'll jump in an empty server.

also, during the next 2 weeks ill only be able to play couple of hours per night (2-3) since im in my final exams, wasnt probably the best time to do that thread....hehe , but hey , im addicted to flying choppers!! ask my gf

Good and good... I get by. Use my joystick. The whole keyboard/joystick/mouse thing is all a matter of preference. I like the joystick because I've got all the keys in one place, easily accessible, better throttle control and I've gotten used to manouvering with it.
And I wouldn't mind having a go with you guys...
EDIT: For a bit of single player practice, fire this map up on a local server:
