you guys probably have no clue who i am but, i upgraded my PC to higher parts and Im ready for PR!!! im Dling it right now...any way I have some questions

1. people say I have to turn my graphics down, is this true?
2.and what are your favorute maps?

and when it comes to the graphics I have this:
amd 64 3400+2.21ghz
XFX Geforce 7900 GS
2.5 Gigs DDR400

Graphics level depends on a few variables. What resolution are you running? I would imagine that if your running 12xx by 10xx something you should be able to crank the settings up and play with the AA and AF to get the best image vs. FPS. Tweakguides website has a good run down on tweaking BF2 and what settings have the biggest impact.

O okay I play maxed in BF2 vanilla with the exception of DS+DL on med and at a 1400X1050 res

You should be able to play with the same settings for the most part. The PR mod is more demanding on the system then vanilla so you may need to tweak a setting down to med to get it smooth.

I know for me if I switch textures to high (on Al-Bashra, most demanding map currently) I get stutter, medium is smooth.

You SHOULD be able to run everything on high, because the RAM is the most important and you got 2,5 GB (I run everything high with 2 GB).
The processor COULD be a problem, but you should try it out.

the main thing for me is the res. i have to play at that or it will look like ****, so i dont mind playing on med here and there
