SA-7 lock on time

I know there are probably a few threads on the SA7s and how they should be changed, but I haven't seen the lock-on time mentioned, and I'm not going to read 300 posts to find it.
I think the lock on time should be reduced a little, maybe to 5-7 seconds instead of 10 seconds. Who agrees?

Majo_Baker, the current lock-on time for the SA-7 in PR v0.5 is 3 seconds. However it has been reduced ;)

there's no way it is 3 seonds. I have had several times that it has been in my ssights for more than 7 seconds, and the loud tone never came on...

are you sure dude?

I love the Anti Air kits. They are my personal favourites. However, I do not think that the lock on time should be faster.

It requires skill to fly, and it should require skill to shoot down pilots. I only ask for 4 AA kits on Basrah instead of 2.

I'm working on an instructional SA-7 video, it should help newer or inexperienced players learn how to purge the skies of choppers and planes.

It's really 3, max 4 seconds. And those 3 seconds may seem to be a long time to you when watching enemy jet getting away.

In 0.6 it will be decreased as a result of increased speed of jets.

hmm, so what's with the 'second' lock on tone at aboput 7-10 seconds. are you teling me the first lock on tone is viable for a hit?
Every time i have tried after the first lock on tone it misses.

I said yes though if it's three seconds that's fine. However, in my experience it's never been three seconds.

Nope, fine as is. Although I would like to see a limited amount of flares, and the ability to dump them like every two seconds.

ye that is kinda the biggest problem with the jets / choppers at the mo as you can dump fliars every few secs...

It would be nice if you could dump them more often, but then you'd have to RTB quite often.

probably 90% of the time if they flew at current ingame altitudes
