Commander feature: Deployable AAA

With the new commander ability to deploy things I thought it would be great if commanders would be able to deploy AAA batteries instead of just having stationary ones. They're obviously meant to be mobile and since it's impossible to have a vehicle deploy them this would be the next best and most realistic thing.

This would be great in two ways. It would not only make fighting air more flexible but would make it so air vehicles wouldn't automatically know where the aa fire was coming from forcing them to be much more cautious rather then just having to know what spots of the map to avoid.

Now, off course, to balance this, AAA guns would have to be made realistically weak. One light AT round should be enough to knock it out of commission forcing an engineer to have to repair. A slams and C4 should permanently put it out of commission. Also, perhaps, if possible, the commander should only get a limited amount of them that can be placed. They would be able to move existing ones every once in a while but if one is lost to C4 or slams it would be lost for good.

I hope this hasn't been posted already in a similar thread. I did a search and didn't find it but I didn't look that hard.

Seems like a good idea. I always hated the fact that if you dared fire in the AA, you were always going to be instantly identified.

We will just have to wait and see I guess.

How about deployable ground defenses? For example, the TOWs, HJ-8s, and the mounted machine guns on the concrete block...

moveable AA guns is a good idea but will require alot of re-coding for the asset, not sure if its even possible? you would want to somehow 'pack up' the AA gun and while in movement no one should be able to fire...

Well I remember correctly in .6 the commander can deploy one AA gun per bunker, would it be possible to make the AA gun "reclaimable" and get the tickets back so the commander could reposition it?

EDIT: The other option is to make more mobile AA units available

i was thinkin about the AAA earlier, but instead of a comander thing, what if when we get in it, we push a button and that makes it into a vehicle. We can "drive" it around and by pushing that button again, will make it stationary, like if we had never moved it. This could make it easier to move the AA that is in the game right now, to more advantageous positions.

Hmm, put a quad truck in the Basrah, so Insurgents can have a moveable AA?

Bigger nightmare for the A10s and Cobras, maybe that will force them to work with commanders, and players to actually be commanders and seek out targets...I hate finding the targets by myself dammit...

Todays pilots know where the main positions are on each map. It would be wonderful to have the ability to randomly place these types of defensive positions just as in real life.

Why dont we just chuck the AA on the Back of a truck and drive it round keep the enemy gessing ;-) :D

Great idea, hope its possible to do on this engine.
The game needs more dynamic environments to keep interest going in the map cycle. In saying that PR has broken new ground with destructable buildings and other various features. Keep up the good work devs!!
