Yeah, the most ideal situation is to have a A10 pilot locked in a squad and have a commander, that searches the map for enemy assets and informs the pilot about them with VoiP or orders him "Attack this position"...

normally ive seen guys just spot boats as markers 4 the a10s to attack (normally we say tht to them first)

Commanders and SL can place demolition markers where they want air support to rip up. Effective and saves a recon team usualy.

Squad leaders can use green smoke to mark targets. HOWEVER, let the people in the air know what it means by typing. It'd be unfair on a BH who was looking for a friend in need to pick up, start landing in green smoke, get swampped by insgurgents then straffed by an A-10.

If you see a hostile rally point, spot a boat on it. Its the generaly accepted signal that you have found an enemy rally point.

I thought boats were the designator for spawn cars and the like...

ya i tell my A-10(if in squad only) I will put down Green smoke on my tagerts they must hit and mostly works out well becasue the insrg. coomue runing to smoke trying to get my kit so A-10 comes in and Bombs the hell out of then :lol:

I suppose you could make the smoke a heat source so that the planes lock onto it and they can destroy whatever it is marking.
