make miniguns less accurate

The miniguns on the blackhawks, the A10, and the attack LB are way too accurate right now.they are like snipers :p . Could the devs add deviation to all these weapons to make them more like real miniguns?

also could splash damage be eliminated from the LB and blackhawk guns? i dont think 7.62 NATO rounds would explode :rolleyes: . Just make the bullets a one shot kill to make up for the unrealisticly low rof. also, is every bullet a tracer on the miniguns? if not, please make them all tracers so they look more like the real miniguns.

Although splash damage does sort of replicate the spread of the bullets IRL...

yeah but it looks awful :p

It's ****ing impossible to get a kill with a minigun! Make 'em more deadly, if anything.

I also agree. Especially considering how accurate the tank's coax MG is, a Blackhawk's miniguns should be at least twice as inaccurate as those are now, in my opinion. Same goes for the Littlebird minis.

@cerebrus. making less accurate will make the more deadly, right now ou have to aim right at hem to kill them. With my suggestion, a near miss would be enough.

i also want the A-10 gun less accurate

Miniguns should be able to kill you alot more quickly... ATM, they can only fire 1,000 RPM due to engine limitations, while IRL they fire 4,000+ RPM. One 7.62mm round hitting you versus four 7.62mm rounds... hmm

the miniguns should be much more effective against infantry than they currently are. i say increase the splash damage--you ever seen those things in real life? they chew sshit up.

or increase the deviation as others have suggested...that way you dont have to be right on to get a kill.

Whoa, if anything the miniguns are ineffective at the moment.

Just the other night on Al Basrah, I was a gunner on the Black Hawk, and I sent a stream of tracers over a rooftop, during this, I swear it's not an exaggeration, the stream went RIGHT THROUGH an insurgent. Also, same round, I tried to kill a technical's gunner with it, and it took a couple of direct gunfire streams to kill him.

If anything, we really need to supe up the mini guns, they are the best chance we have against RPGs and close fire support when dropping troops into battle. It may seem unfair to the insurgents, but it's VITAL that the Black Hawk's mini guns are kept strong enough to encourage at least some sort of fear of a flying gun platform.

I personally think that splash damage should be increased just to compensate for the amount of ricochets and debris flying around from the bullets impacting. As of now, the miniguns are far too weak.

Anybody else getting an odd case of deja vu?

I have had many times where I could not effectively kill infantry with those things.

you guys do know they are usually very accurate in real life.

And just so you know, if you think the Tank Coax MG is "accurate", please, go play vBF2, because you're going to be sadly dissapointed when they get their accuracy boosted in .6

The whole point of technology was to make these deadly weapons even more accurate. Dont cry if you get killed by one, because it just makes you look like a crybaby from vBF2. The blackhawk minigun had to go through some changes by the PR team to get it's settings right (Rof/Bullets put down range) to actually emulate the real life conditions.

I agree though, need's more splash damage, cause they are pretty much **** for trying to kill infantry. If you actually look at the tracers from the A-10 gun, they look like they are flying out at angles if anything.
