[?] 17km maps ?

I hate to post this, because I have the feeling its posted somewhere, but I didn't found anyting with the search button...

I was wondering what technique you guys used to make the 17km sq maps...
you must use 1024 x 4 right?

do you still use a 1025px image for heightmap?

could someone point me in the right dirrection for the 17km maps particularities?

Yes, they still use a 1025x1025 heightmap. Look on BFeditor's Level Editor forums for the solution. I forget exactly how.

terrainCuller.setUseStitchedLods 0

Add this line of code to the end of the terrain.con file in your map folder above endIf.

thats it?
now my maps should work 1024x4 :D

yep and make sure you add combat area or youll die straight away

8) im starting work on a map that is 1024x4

Its an open area tank/armor/infantry battle sorta map....with helicopters (x2 for each side and 3 transports helis for UK and 2 for MEC)

I just hope all the tanks and helis dont lag the map much....it will only have about 12/13 static objects (well it is a desert and you dont find much in a desert!)
