POWs

:fryingpan Ok this has been on the Tornament forums and i have decided to start 1 here and see if we can get this going. Ok so here is what i said "ya i would give up but that mode would work. We would need so hard coders but it could work make a 3rd team named POWs They would be in the middle of the map and there are 9 POWs in a camp and those people cant leave the wal so or they die. They can only leave after being pushed by a person the other teams. So like this. A USMC squad runs into the base and kill 2 MEC troops. they run in and all 6 touch 6 POWs and they turn into there squad and mics go to that squad. then they must get out and back to base first team to save 5 POWs will win. :15_cheers " So please put some feed back on here. :D :26_suicid :28_behead

How about this, let's have a "Prisoner of War kit" and only let 6 or so soldiers spawn in on the middle of the map and only those six can get the POW kit only. Then when a USMC squad comes, they have to blow up the cage/door/wall to get to them and then they have to run off... These would be hard work because the six soldiers can use there weapons once they spawn in the middle of the map. Or just have the POW kit as a default kit and those people can only spawn in the middle of map and no where else... Either way, your suggestion and mine would be tough work and not many players would play the game because it would just like be like the extraction mode.

I was thinking that we could actually make players procurable during the battle. You could sneak up on an opposing player, melee him in the back of the head (this would have to be added), handcuff him, and then call for your team's POW truck to pick him up. The POWs wouldn't be held in a prison, the POW truck is where they are held. To free the POWs, your team would have to kill the driver and then press 'E' at the rear of the vehicle.

Who the hell would want to wait a whole round in a POW camp? WTF?!

Too much reality me thinks.

Would these POWs suffer abuse from their captors... i.e. tied, beaten, urninated on and photographed with an army private?

Thjat would be CoOp then. They already got that, and would be hell for the coders and what not.

1) No one wants to sit around for an undetermined time while their team attempts to free them. Computer games don't really harbor that type of patience. Paintball/airsoft, probably would work with that.

2) I have no desire in sneaking up on people and melee attacking them before handcuffing them. It's dangerous enough advancing while killing people with a rifle.

OMGZ TEAMS ARE HARD CODED!!!!! not possible...

i mean really... why do you need to hard code a parachute?

This is starting to sound like an extract map. Go into the middle, pick up a kit, go through some checkpoints, go back. That would make the most sence and it would probably be better than standing around for 30 minutes waiting for your team to get you.

:lol: I'm surprised your the only one who thought about that. Thats what it is in essence anyways. You are going to fight to the POWs no matter what, then your going to have to go back.

or maybe it could be another mode for the mod. that would be a great mode for 1 reason more reality than conquest and a bit more than extration(name of mod is PROJECT REALITY)
