In SF for vBF2 they had that map set on board the Essex, could the devs make a map using that model?
Maybe have insurgents attacking the Essex while it is docked some where and being guarded by marines, no choppers just pure infantry.
What do you reckon? I think it could be a top map.

What scenario? i've never played on a map like that. Oh well close the thread, once you post the name of the map, i'll look out for it.

B/c it was somthing new and really cool. Plus in PR it would be very different. Maybe even start with the ins. controlling most of the ship and USMC has to fight their way back to reclaim it. Not that this would ever happen though, thats why this is a game

Just to clarify, what i was thinking was the Essex would be docked at quay side, with insurgents attacking the navy base with the objective of sinking the Essex. Marines would spaw in base being pushed back onto the essex where the fighting would change from wide open space to cramped corridors.
Could be a cool scenario.

I think you mean the Naval Amphibious Base in Coronado, California. I belive it would be fairly difficult to dock a submarine or aircraft carrier in Colorado.

i am not good at remembering names and only a stupid german (with actually not so bad geografical knowlage, but i must have had a blackout)
so i think your right ^^

i allways wanted to see the bfsf essex on all maps and stuff but we cant (some wierd dev reason )

The original map is called "Iron Gator" and it sucked.
