Gatling-type guns

It seems that the DICE people has gotten their knowledge about gatling guns from movies! They really need to be redone from scratch!

Firing delay: A gatling gun fires its first round as soon as it starts accelerating. Yes, it does need some time to wind up to its full speed, but no it doesn't have a delay between pressing the trigger and the first round fired.

Sounds: Any gun with a rate of fire of more than 2000 does NOT sound like a normal machine gun at all! You can't distinguish between individual shots from the steady noise. It's not like "RATATATATATA" or even "BRRRRRRRRRRR". It's more like "WHOOOSSSSSSSSSSHHH"

ROF and ammo consumption: You all must agree that this is way too low for all gatling-type guns, but If we were to actually make the Phalanx fire 6000rpm it would cause serious lag. Instead the Phalanx could for example fire 1000rpm, expend six rounds from the counter for each shot fired, and do 6x the damage per shot. The effect is just the same.

The guns, that need to be changed would be:
UH-60 miniguns (plus tweak the damage vs vehicles)
AH-1Z M197
A129 (AKA WZ-10) M197
Phalanx CWIS
F-35B GAU-12
F-15 M61A1

You can hear that one decent.

Also take this to point out how such guns dont overheat in 3secs.

And this one you dont hear much at all because of all the crazy music going over it :

M197 rate of fire is only 750rpm.

Gatling gun needs to kick up a ton more dust.

That's the practical rate of fire. Cyclic rate is selectable between 2000 and 3000

Yeah... the same show that stated that Dillon minigun as the fastest firing gun in the world
The show added its own sound effects so that it would sound more like a machinegun. If you listen carefully you can hear the gun's real sound behind the effects at one point.

1 million rounds per minut it would be cool if it was in the game but no it wont

I recently got this combat flight sim called Falcon 4.0: Allied Forces, the gun on the f-16 sounds EXACTLY like it should, similar to the real A-10, god I love it. I call it the "grunt," "BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT".

I REALLY hope they put the real nose cannon sounds for the A-10.

A quick clip of the GAU-8A Avenger 30mm cannon on the A-10, a little close to hear that tell-tale sound, awesome all the same.

i think one of the best descriptions for the sound of a gun would be the description i heard for an MG42 (1,200 rpm i believe)

"sounded like a peice of clothe being ripped in half"

Yeah, to the shooter/nearby it should sound like a sort of...hiss-roar, lol for lack of a better word. But to those further away it should sound like a heli, at least, that is what is sounded like to me.
