abr fault

Ive posted in the ABR home page about a fault with my ABR client ..as yet after nearly 2 weeks ive had no reply so i thought id try here.
Recently when trying to start my abr client it gives error "problem with writing file for re write" exiting due to fatal error??? ive re installed still the same???

They're not actively developing the ABR client at the moment. I'm not sure if I can get the source from them.. I'll ask.

As to your specific problem, your windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts file is probably write protected by a virus scanner or some such.

now im getting "**.**.***.*** (ip)" is not a valid interger value....???

That is not your fault, happens to me too.
But it doesn't stop ABR from working.

ok thanks again fellas for the replys ...as always helpfull on this site ...oh and fritz im hoping to set up some more PRMM servers on a dedi box soon for any one to use :-)

Hm, which server? I can take a look if you give me the server id.

I went and looked into the logs just now and saw that pucker factor has an IP problem. Packets have been getting rejected from there... Should be fixed now (for pucker factor).

oh and since we got ABR on the server we had 3 crashes today...
might this be only a coincidence?

Hm, game-monitor is down right now, so I can't check.. If you're using windows, there have been some reports of crashes.

In my experience it runs very stable on linux.

Tipical behavior. UNIX > Windows. That's sort of obvious :-P

we are running on windows :-(
