its completali unrealistic that you can carry 3 SRAWs in a 20x30 cm bag .

what about make the resuplie system like this :

-a suplie bag has 100 "resuplie points"

-eachs magazine of your weapon consume 30 "resuplie points" of the bag , so you can only resuplie 3 magazies .
-eachs resuplie bag comsume 150-200 "resuplie points" you you cant resuplie your own bag
-each HUMMVE has 500 "resuplie points" you you can resuplie your bag 5 times .
-eachs HAT Missil has 250 "resuplie points" so you cant resuplie your missil form a rifleman , only at UMMVs and APC , LIKE REAL LIFE .
- etc,etc.

what do you thing ?
is it doable ?
im crazy?
are you gay?

You carry 3 Ammo packs so that is 300 points thats enough for a H-AT missile ;)

EDIT: nevermind ,.

in real life eacht AT soldier has a "resuplie guy" with an extra missil , and , since the HAT consume 250 points , there is only 50 points left , not enought to resuplie your own ammo bags .

also , make that HAT can carry only ONE missil.

Hm, I actually like this idea... Also, that 30 resupply points only apply to the weapons that have 30 rounds in each magazine right? Like M16, AK47, AK-101 take away 30 resupply points but for the M249 it takes away 200-600 resupply points. We can reflect the number of bullets in the magazine to the number of resuppy points being taken out...

I am guessing it is hard-coded, I actually love the idea but it may be a bit complicated, how would you know when its empty? Etc etc.

The devs have meantioned quite alot that the whole ammobag area is pretty much hardcoded. Although there may be a work around with it.

well, i think that when the ammo bag is empty , it disappear from the world

i dont think so , in vanilla with one bag you can resuplie all your ammo , but in PR its take a while to resuplie you, but we need to wait a dev answer

BUMP!

is this thing possible ?

Im sure it will be implemented in the future.

Its more realistic having HAT user take shots at tanks from a distance next to the Humvee, and if the tanks get to close, drive away.

Speaking of the "ammo points". How about "medic points"? For example, the medic pack has about 200-300 medic points and for every two points of hit points healed, one point is removed from the pack. Though I'm sure these both are hardcoded because I think the devs said the ammo packs are hardcoded...

If this was do-able, it would already be done. For the purposes of resupply, there are no ammo types in BF2 (there was in BF42).

*Something* causes weapons / projectiles to have a different supply rate / consumption of supply points, but there is nothing logical to explain what it is, so we've not been able to figure it out.

This is one of those things that needs someone to spend a couple of days experimenting with it, which can be very tedious and nobody has yet volunteered heh.

That would still make them with pretty much infinete healing abilities, considering a player has 20 hit points, so each fully healed player of 19 hit points (you'd be dead if you lost all 20) would only cost the bag 9 or 10 points. You'd be dead, round over or resplied before points ran out.

On the main topic, if it could be done, ammo bags should contain something like:

5 Regular magazines for standard rifles (Nothing for SF
1 Marksman Magazine
1 Pistol Magazine
1 Support Magazine
1 Frag grenade
1 Grenade for Launcher
1 Smoke Grenade
1 or 2 Field Dressings

Nothing for HAT, LAT or AA as they are too big, nothing for snipers as they work on there own. Spec ops similar. Ammo bags making other ammo bags is obviously stupid.

We can all dream :-P

why not make a resuply kit, a guy with a very big bag packed with rockets and alike, and refresh drinks..... ?

This is the first line of your problem/suggestion. You then describe a long and detailed solution involving points and math. Why not just make a bigger bag, then you can carry them

I'm sorry I just couldn't resist, I do like your ideas about aligning ammo resuply with reality.
