Field Dressings

Field Dressings
in most cases a critically wounded soldier is either unconscious or is bleeding at a lethal rate. now, what do field dressings do? they stop the bleeding.
so why can't a field dressing increase the survivability of a severe bleeding wound.
what i'm suggesting is that a field dressing adds more time to the critically wounded timer. this way it's like another soldier slowing the bleeding until a medic arrives.
this is probably not possible due to the fact that a timer is being changed, but i thought it seemed realistic and gives a medic more response time. of course the field dressing has to be applied by a teammate (or maybe an enemy that wants to keep a soldier incapacitated as long as they can  ) which encourages teamplay, i'll let you guys think of a good time for each field dressing to add. (maybe allow the soldier to suicide while down to prevent teammates from keeping them down?).
thanks for reading.

Field surgeon does not work, they don't work in the actual battlefield.

What I would like to see is each team having a field hospital asset and if it is destroyed by the enemy your heal rate cuts in half.

Well thought out idea though honestly, I don't think it's necessary or realistic. Field surgeons don't run around reviving people, they sit at field hospitals and treat wounded soldiers off the front line(at least not in the middle of a battle). Normal corpsmen work fine imo, but that's just me.

There is only one M.D./Surgeon in any combat arms battalion, and they are back at the aid station; they do not get attached to the line platoons like the medics/trauma specialists and corpsmen. Nor do they attend basic training or OCS, they are commissioned as Captains (Army/Air Force) or Lieutenants (Navy) after they attend what is called a "basic leadership course" to teach them service doctrine and some basic military skills. Not a realistic suggestion, I'm afraid.

Your second suggestion of allowing a buddy to attempt to stabilize a critically wounded player before a medic arrives is interesting, though I don't know if it can be done. Hope a coder sees this. :)

Let's do that, and then switch the spawn timers to two minutes!

Realism, we're on the way.
