I was playing a round of EJOD and upon death I switched the kill camera ( You know the one where you press "C" default key, "You have been killed" / watch a friendly )

I was cycling through trying to find my squadleader, and saw a person who appeared to be in a wall, so I held my spawn, cycled through all the people again and came across this








Freor had been wallglitching with his squad :/

Admins yelled at him, he left and was soon slaughtered by a G3 and a MEC tank...

Sad this is what things come down to

I watched him until he hit 55 kills and left there... should of screenshotted his response of "I spawned there" and something along the line of "I didn't shoot many"

Cheaters suck.

Mhh that sucks, I played about two hours with him tonight, he's a nice guy in general... :-/

This just has to one of the greatest possible failings of the BF2 engine and i quite simply mean the most horrendous affliction, scourges and down right tradegy of it all...................although 1km draw distance ait to shabby but this, o goodness, the unholy HIPOCRISY of it all!

Since Battlefield 1942 you can cycle through players on the death camera... Anyway, hope the developers fixed the problem

What's the fuss about "death cam cycle"? It's been there since BF2v!

BTW, you can only see friendlies.

wallglitching, well it sucks, but you point it out and its being fixed.

but being able to hold your spawn somehow..
( I dunno how, I only know how to hold spawn in the beginning of the round and I dont wanna know how to do it anyway)
and skip through all players in 3rd person view, making out enemy presence and then spawn on the nearest RP and ambush them is the worst legal scam ive heard of so far!!

As I recall...holding your spawn just means clicking off of your rally/base point so none are selected in the spawn screen...so when your time runs out, you dont respawn immediately. Its very handy for things like when the SL is in a vehicle and moving somewhere yet the vehicle is full. I wish more people knew this, as I'm tired of dummies spawn back on the carrier. OH also...incase you didnt know, you can spawn on other peoples rally pts as well so long as your own squad has a rally up.

hm, I still spawn on the last one I had selected after like 10 seconds

That was my reaction when I discovered it after playing BF2 for over a year!

Thats not good play or an example to the squad. But i have also played with him a fair bit since 0.3. And i have never seen him glitch, cheat or abuse things before.

I hope it was and will remain a one off.

There's nothing wrong with the death cam. You can only see friendlies. And it helps you spot cheaters. It's one of my most often used adminning tools.

Just look at the death cam as an early version of the Land Warrior outfit =).

I eventualy just spent the last 5 mins of the round throwing smoke nades at them from behind a wall so their 1337 position made them useless.

yep, gotta go with the general opinion Freor is a nice guy played some with him and he is very good! but hanging out inside a wall for more then 10 min insent that nice! seeing as he is a senior member of the community he should lead by example and suicide ore something when stuck inside a building.

I don't know the guy. I guess he doesn't play on NA servers. But IMO, a cheater's a cheater, and a wallhacker's definately a cheater. That's like Southarn's "oh I just wanted to try the hax to see if they worked" defense. And Southarn was in the community for ages.

I hate to pile on but, he has a Colonels rank ?
Not to many of those around and I have always been suspicious of officers.
