I looke din th
e Alreadt suggested Suggestions thread
and didn't found it, so here it is:
can we get rid of the bags on the ground
you know the bags with the kit icon on it
I hardly doubt that a soldier would pack his bag when he gets critically wounded...
could we make the bags like the pickup kits are (a m16 model on the ground instead of a bag with a rifleman icon on it)
might noe change gamepay a lot
and I understand than other modification will pass first but I think this would be nice

its possible, and don't argue that they won't know what type of kit it is, just pick it up.

The bags dont look good. They do what you are suggesting in EOD2, another Black Sands Production i believe. And it does certainly look better.

I haven't played it in a few days but EOD has something like this, it's like a rifle laid on a helmet and some mags with it or something.

Doesn't seem to me like anything close to a priority.

No matter what on the ground after a dead body there is some kind of object that holds the kit the player was killed. Enigne hard coded

What about making the "kit" invisible and make it that it disappear at the same time that the corpse disappear ?

dont know if thats possible...kit stays there for at least 15 seconds or depending on the server spawn times

I'm for it being invisable -- that way you have to "use" the body to pick it up.
Failing that, EOD2 had a nice way of doing it.

why noit have the body just be the kit, pick it up to see what it is

Speaking of the bags and kits. When you kill an enemy soldier, the soldier's helmet, vest, backpack, etc stay on the soldier's body for a couple of seconds until all the soldier's gear is removed from the body and turned into the kit for someone to pick up... Anyway to stop the removal of gear from a soldier when they're critically wounded/dead?

Many mods for BF1942 used to change the bag to just a gun instead. Surely it doesn't take much work at all...

I don't think the kits should be invisible. Why would you not be able to see his weapon load out? It's not like the guy hide his AK 47 with hi's last breath
The bags are fine with me, thats probably something they will start focusing on more once they get the game play and equipment in game how they want it. I would assume closer to PR 0.9-1.0 things like this will be the focus. Just a thought

I'm sure any one man modders that play PR could E-Mail the PR team, ask if they could submit something along the lines of this; and if the need arose, ask them for use of their custom created content; and model them selves a kit bag in their vision and send it back to the PR team.
And I'm pretty sure they'd accept it, Eggman (even though in a angry tyraid) said something along the lines of "If you want it in the game, you make it yourself and if it stands up to our quality standards, we'll include it."

I'm sure they'd pick up an AT if they saw a t-98 coming in their direction...

It was like that in the early stages of BF2, like in the opening video thing and some trailers

It's done for insurgent pickup kits already.. I believe all they have to do is change out the model of the bag with the world model of the gun. Telling kits apart would be painful, though..

You'd have to also edit geometry or w/e so that when it falls on the ground it bounces around a little or w/e
actually it might be easy to tell them apart
