Pick-Up Kit Delay - just like ammo bags

Ok it was this thread that got me thinking on this.
http://realitymod.com/forum/t20426-dead-guys-bags.html
Picking up fallen troops kit, is a good thing in many ways.
But I think there should be a delay in picking up a kit... just as there is for getting ammo of an ammo pack.
At present it’s a bit gamey and easily abused, i certainly do. I run full sprint past a kit grab it and never break stride.
Sometimes in a fire fight, with dead bodies strewn everywhere, I’ll be frantically using other kits just not to have to reload or wait for the nade delay. I'll use it and then discard it for another; I’ll do this over and over.
This would also slow down game play a wee bit.
At present i dont really worry about ammo, as the next target has all i need. And i can get it immediatley, no delay.. just run over his body.
(on further thinking.. i'm expecting some version of Harcoded in the answer

)

that gun would lay on the ground, youd do a long fly to it and pull the trigger, simple as. you dont grab his backpack and buckle it on.
nothin personal, but when I hear of people beggin for delays I just wonder in what bad shape you are I just think:

It already has a delay ( time when kit fall out of dead body ) If it is possible , maybe devs should increase this time ?

But that is not what i'm talking about. I'm talking about a pick up delay, so you cant sprint past a fallen trooper taking a rifle, 5 clips, two AT mines, one C4 etc etc..and leaving your equipment there.
This deserves at least a 2 second delay IMO. (more like 5 seconds)

I dont think that would be a good addition to the game.. Whenever i kill someone with a requestable kit, and im able to grab it i will. This to deny the kit for the enemy.. If i have to wait for it to anymore then the current dead dropout time it wouldnt be much of a use since they already warned there team that im there.. If they think of doing that..

please read my post... this has nothing to do with "the current dead dropout time".. its about picking up the kit and a delay associated with that.
How long does it take to get 5 clips and 2 nades of an ammo bag?... 20 seconds maybe 30 at a complete guess. Why should it take ZERO seconds to pick up a rifle, 6 clips, 2 nades etc etc. Just makes no sense.

If its not coded so hard, it could stop a 30mm AP round, the work madr for the desiered effect will not be worth while.

k k you sure got a point with the ammo and nades you oughta fish out of the backpack.
but please dont apply that delay to picking up guns.

Any chance a rightly mighty DEV might be able to quote one of the below statements

:
Has not been considered, why would we waste our time on this.
Has not been considered, and is unlikley to be.
Has been considered, but not worth the resources.
Hmmm we will have to think about this.
Its on our wish list / to do list.
Hardcoded

If there was gonna be a delay it might as well be an incredibility long one.
If you were a sniper then picked up an engineer kit you'd be putting down your rifle, grenades, taking off your guile suit then going on to pick up a rifle, some mines, some grenades, some explosives and a wrench. It not gonna be a quick process. But then you'd have balancing issues with swapping stuff like rifleman to officer etc. It's not gonna have a very nice outcome trying to sort this out.

not a bad idea, but dont think its possible to change the time u pickup a kit in, my guess is that its hard coded but i aint a coder
