i think that background main menu movie needs an update... that mk 12 aint in there and its just outdated...

what do you think

i do think it needs an update, but dam, Xtraction mode on Mashtuur was loads of fun!

Like the 0.5 promo somewhat, a bit of everything in PR, including extraction and brits.

its old, was made in 0.3 and it takes quite some effot to make a new menu movie etc.

Bin the movie completely. It just takes up RAM that could be better used elsewhere.

Its not worth wasting time on it, unless we have a movie competition.

I don't see the point in making another movie.
I don't want to sit around watching the intro movie, I just wanna play.
Dev's time would be better spent making more content rather than movies.

I agree the background movie should either be changed or taken out entirely. The one currently in the mod is getting old as it is, and I personally don't care if there even is a background movie at all. If you guys do change it though, lets get some ariel action in it. How cool would it be to see some crazy dogfighting from angles you don't get to see stuff happen from in-game. Or you could go one step further and show a whole bunch of helicopters coming in from the ocean and pounding some Chinese ground troops as "Ride of the Valkyries" blares in the background! You could practically do that whole scene from "Apocalypse Now" if you had the patience. In conclusion, I don't mind what you do as long as you don't leave us with the current video (the music is even more annoying than the stuff in vBf2!).

Im sure they can do it...in the mean time, make another 0.6 teaser, so the guys can use some footage from 0.6, unless you give them temporary tester status

I'd be more interested in getting the cooler off the tank in
the first background.

But, I would like a new movie background. Perhaps the one
from the trailer?

USMC soldiers today in Iraq still play music from back in Vietnam, i saw a video a while were American soldiers were having a gunfight with Fortunate Son (CCR) in the background (i think it was CCR)

IMO, the best would be a simple background "image" (but it has to be in a movie format) perhaps a 10 second loops with some kind of animation to it.

Why not have movie displaying real combat? Sort of like EoD's menu. If you ask me, good menu music and a good background video really sets the atmosphere for the mod.

It is a cool movie, but another one would be nice...

There's tons of military movies on the web that can be the movie. One I personally like is Operation Al Fajr (Phantom Fury)

Me and my "Team" could make a good one for the background. If the devs would like us to..... Also What would the community like the background video to contain?
