I'll probably get a beating for asking this. I have tried in game though, and I have searched for how to do this.

After a night of going from squad to squad looking for a squad which is spread over the entire map I thought I'd make my own. Just having it called 'Delta' doesn't really attract the players I want.....so how can I rename it?

at the bottom, in the screen where you create squads, you find a line "custom"...

Just type in "beating" and off you go ....

Yep, anyone who joins one of my squads tends to notice the impossible or simply ludicrous

(I have used all these. It is a game. A SOH is a good thing.)

Just call it whatever you want to focus on. I always call mine Voip Squad or Defense. Read the Squad Leader guide for more info.

I always name mine "The Unit". as in that show on NBC after NCIS on Tuesday nights.
Usually attracts a few people, be it they know the show, know custom squads usually do more squad work than freelance, or because all the others are full, thus the reason I made the squad.

The infamous '*****' squad then lock it so that nobody else can join.

Hehe. Should make a squad called
Heteros and lock it.

I have been known to call my squad "BIG PENIS" squad myself. Really seems to attact people.

Or create the first squad and call it "loser squad" (or some random insult) and leave... most of the time the squad will stay full for the round, and sometime people will recreate it... it's alway funny !

I've only done this three time

When I run a squad I call it "REDRAIDERS"

After a round or so, the people who don't like my style of command leave and we end up with a very tight squad.

defence.. recon...overwatch...convoy...

Ok, so I have a tendency to call mine Bumholes, so I can shout over voip stuff like :

GO, Bumholes, Go!
Bumholes Charge

and of course the eloquent :

Bumhole 1 and 2, take them from the rear!

I usually call my squad "MEOW!"
Ironically, I hate cats....

i call my squads VOIPTW so that everybody knows that i'll kick any player w/out mic before joining. though, there are some players i don't kick even though they don't have a mic since there are some guys that don't really need to say something, they just do what they're supposed to do
