There were some great reality mods back in the day. SF for Quake 1 comes to mind and Action Quake 2 was also one shot kills. Knife throwing and the hand cannon were a laugh. The hand cannon had a range of 1m or something, but it did send you flying. The great team work mods were Weapons Factory for Quake 2 and Team Fortress for Quake 1.

These are mods I've played, so I probably missed a few. There were alot of reality mods after AQ2 took off and soon after that Gooseman went on to start Counter Strike.

..but, yeah, PR takes things to a whole new level.
