Parachute Operation Map

It's rather a suggestion for the mappers than for the programmers (hope I'm right here). Yes, I#ve seen that there were suggestions about parathutes, my is different

Anyway, wouldn't it be very nice to have a map on which parachute opperations are possible? There had to be an airport where the planes/helicopters have to start and anyone who gets inside of such a vehicle gets a parachute. One or two capture-points should be "behind enemy lines".
With 30 people a team i can imagine a wonderful parachute invasion.

Actually this has been suggested before.
1: Empty parachute which reloads in the choppers.
2: Paratrooper kits.
Who the hell jumps out of helicopter anyway? (Read, there are no transport planes anyway).

That's still not quite like what the OP is suggesting...

parachuting out of a helicopter is possible. Probably has never been used in large scale deployments since you just can't fit that many guys into a helicopter, so transport planes take care of it usually. But it is possible.

Parachuting into a combat zone is suicidal, most drops are done at least 2miles out from the designated ground target. This allows for a safer drop and for everyone to rally up.

2 Pilots
1 Engineer
1 Cargo attendant
36 Passengers
+ rear ramp to drop parachutist

36 troops is hardly large scale
64 paras can fit into a C-130, just under 2x as many, but also a C-130 costs much less to run than 2 big choppers and i would imagin has a higher top speed and a longer range

wow, 36 passengers into that helicopter, I'm impressed.
Which helo is that btw?
And also, since we are talking about passengers, the capacity for c-130 is
"Up to 92 troops or 64 paratroops or 74 litter patients."

It's the german version of the Super Stallion.
I read on another website that it can transport up to 55 Passengers with a centerline seat configuration.

Sorry to smash your idea down... but aren't parachutes ammo count hardcoded at infinite, and max seats in a vehicle 8?
Would rock if EA/Dice didn't suck

FH for BF1942 had a Ju52 paratrooper transport plane with only eight seats (hardcoded as well), but there was a passenger area that the devs intended for loading up people who weren't actually "inside" the plane. It worked really well, and there were never any collision mesh problems.
In response to Outlawz, the OP's idea was having an actual player controlled paradrop operation, with real pilots flying actual planes, not just some paratroop spawn point as seen in Airport.
And please, don't anyone say that it can't be done...As I just mentioned, it's been done before by arguably one of the Battlefield series' biggest mod: Forgotten Hope.
