Hey guys, I was just wondering if the DEVS were planning on changing the little icons to the left of the squad members names. It gets a little confusing when trying to differentiate between grenadier, rifleman, support, officer, sniper, and marksman. If you guys are too busy getting the meat of .6 ready instead I totally understand. Just a thought. Keep up the good work guys! Can't wait till 0.6!

I second that motion.
I look when joining a squad to see what they need and if they havea medic I go rifleman but it would be nice to see all the kits represented.
But I also agree it is not a priority.

Yeah, that would be real nice. Especially so I can yell at the dumbasses in my squad who go grenadier when I didn't ask anyone to.

True that asking over VOIP is good, but why speak when you can just press the tab key and check. So, I would like to see different kit symbols for each kit

The problem with the VIOP solution is that all too often I ask" what kit do you need ? " only to be told,,, A. I don't care
B. Whatever you are good at
C. no answer because SL is fighting for his life
The more info available the better.
Another point is language barriers.
I can play and be an effective part of the squad even if I don't speak Portugese or Swedish because I can follow the SL comm rose directions but in that first spawn I need to know what kit the squad is lacking.

Yes, you could always ask but why when you could press one button. I know the devs are busy touching up .6 for release but this would be a very nice addition.

Damn I came into this thread expecting discussion on kinky sadomasochism symbology
On a serrious note, it would be nice to have the kit bag icons fixed too, eventually.

It would be nice to have better symbols, or just make em letters, like Rifleman = R, Medic = M, Engineer = CE, Grenidier = GR, etc.

Thats a reasonable idea ^ except for the fact that the names change for the different armies. (ex. US= corpsman, PLA= medic specialist etc.)

Or, make the chinese ones actual chinese symbols (as well as MEC ones arabic). Just to annoy everyone.

Yes it did desertfox. If you look at your spawn screen and READ the names of the kits you will see that they are not just called "medics" or "engineers" they are called combat medics, medic specialist, combat engineers, and doctor. It could get a little confusing
