0.6 View Improvments Question

I have yet to play 0.6, though I eagerly await its beta. I've seen and heard about the increased view distance, but what i'm really wondering about the possibility of an increase draw distance for grass. Is 0.6 going to bring the ability to hide in the grass at long ranges? Or would this have too large of an impact on system performance? Have any steps been made in this direction?

undergrowth (ie, grass) draw distance will not change, BF2's undergrowth was never ment for concealment and for that, it cant handel it very well. It was only desgined to make the ground look nicer
what is ment is that we have one map with 1000m view distance, and also there has been a large increase in the draw distance of player models and vehicles so you can see them at that distance. Thous are the main changes. Not all maps are suddnely going to have there view distance increased, so you dont need to worrie about lag. the only ones that will are ones that can handel the new view distances.

We made our own grass, renders out to long distances, not all maps have it.

This is "Overgrowth" grass, put in big blocks and not used very often as you can only really put it on flag ground, IE, fileds.

Or Qwai River... basically every map with grass... but it sure takes time to change it.

So draw distances for infantry and everything is high on all maps?
That is all i really care for, high view distance means **** when stuff doesn't draw.

Since even custom grass will probably bog down a computer when there are huge draw distances are the maps with huge draw distances mostly desert maps?

@Dev's,So does that mean the grass in MAO VALLEY will still be just as frustrating?
In that, You think you are concealed but enemy which is up on a hill/further than 50 metres away,
will still see you CLEAR AS DAY???
Another question to the Dev's,
will HILLS OF HAMGYONG be ballanced out at all in v0.6 ???
