Where are all the maps?

Just curious, why do the PR servers play the same maps over and over and over and over. It's getting kinda boring. They seem to be all in this same rotation.
Can we get some of the older maps back?

Even the vanilla maps would be great!

Vanilla maps dont have AASv2 afaik, and they are going in the opposite direction of what the DEVs (and the majority of the community) want.

I have been playing vanilla maps for almost 2 years........................................night night,
and wish me good luck in my AS maths tomorrow but good luck to DEVs on OPen Beta build aswell!

New maps get added, and old maps get dropped all the time due to not enouth ppl playing them, maps not fitting the mod, quility of the maps etc.
There are around 22 maps in v0.5, alot of maps like for exsample, Steel Thunder do not get played, so for v0.6 we have removed the map from the map list and replaced it with one of our new maps like Kashan Desert.

I think the prob is most of the popular servers have much less than the 22 maps in .5 in active rotation. And, to worsen it, these servers seem to favor the same maps.

yes popular servers always tend to have a small map list (even only 1 map for 24/7 servers) and putting up some of the most popular maps to attract the most players.
This is always common in lots of games.

it common but personally agree it sucks...
i like to play all the maps...not the same 3 over adn over...IMO that sucks hard...

I miss CP abadan so bad. With high view distance and large sounds. That would be the best firefight ever.
And going over the bridge = 22 kills 0 deaths for the Saw gunner
I would seriously support this map coming back, or at least a bigger version.

I liked Steel Thunder for some reason... It was the flag capture names that were confusing but the map had a little bit of everything...

I liked Steel Thunder too, had some awsome battles on the map, but its had its time.

big negative for that... i was sooo bored of that map. It had been played to death on the servers around my part of the world!
With increased view distances it woud be terrible.. how the hell would you cross the bridge or water?
Fighting for that bridge checkpoint was no fun IMO.

So how do we get the server admins to at least increase the variety of maps on their servers so they have more of the 22 maps in rotation (as opposed to the 10 that seem to be all the servers rotate)?
BTW, I used to LOVE the map in the last release which was snow based. I think it was Chinese vs USMC. I really liked it and I was sad to see it go in .5

I really like Steel Thunder. Whenever it's on TG I join up. I really like the forests and hills that offer so much oppurtunity for good squad formations.

Me too. Ive had some awesome forest firefights and tanking in that map. Althought the grass looks like seaweed in that map

. For me its a shame its being tossed in the carbage

Id much rather see maps like phoenix, inishali forest and sunset city gone. I understand Thunder may be overplayed for some people since its been around a long time but those maps i mentioned are even more overplayed for me although they have been around only for 1 or 2 last versions. Inishali and phoenix: too small maps with too many control points and **** distribution of assets. Sunset: plays almost exactly the same every time its become very boring to play not to mention Al Fallujah. These are great maps dont get me wrong but just dont play very well in PR, not in their current form anyway and i dont think those maps can be saved. Im so glad we still have Jabal in the next version
