OK heres an idea, quite a few people have been saying that they would like to see classes such as the medic or engineer, (dont flame me if im wrong about classes), with out the main powerful weapon. I think this is a good idea in some cases and so do any of you guys think an incredibly power handgun should be used instead, such as a desert eagle. this would allow quite a defence as this handgun can certainly make a mess, although very outgunned against an assault troop with a rifle. Thoughts?

I'd have to disagree since just about every pistol is a POS compared to a rifle, shotgun, SMG or PDW on the battlefield. Especially ones with reliability problems such as the Desert Eagle. Also AFAIK no armed forces uses this weapon. The other problem with making classes too good independent of each other errodes the aspect of minimal team play/cooperation.

the desert eagle is not a very effective gun in real life. if you play cs the game makes the gun soo much beter then it is in reality. the gun can do alot of damage if you his some one with out armor, but it is not as acuret as you might think and the recoile is way to high, you would take a long time (compaerd to other guns) to get you second shot off with would be off probaly. when i played cs i looked at the guns to see if it was realistic and it was not, the five seven was good no recoile and the bulet were not norml they almost looked like rifle bulets. it had a long range for pistals and no recoile, i think it has good armor penitration becuse of the bullet shape im not shure tho.
