Is it possible to change the look of the weapons? I guess so.
In fact the front and the rear ring should visually touch/unite when aiming correctly (i.e. eye in correct position). The view given means that your eye is about 10mm away from the rear ring ( toooooo close: You became a one-eyed-GI-Joe soon). Sense of 2 rings: Self-control of eye position.
You would have to make the front ring bigger so that it fits into to rear one without “air” in between of them (like at the M16, but that seems not to have 2 rings (why has it one then?)). Please correct this! It made the game more authentic!
It would be very cool if there appeared a bit of “air” on the right/left between the rings whilst moving in zoom-mode (This would be soooo cool ). (check out the HK21 too )

G3 was a stats unlock in vBF2 along with the M95 & L96A1(temporary MEC sniper)

BTW, it's not the MP53, it's the HK53. It's not an SMG 'cos it fires rifle rounds.

I do agree that the current bf2 iron-sights are a bit off, but there are more glaring inaccuracies to be found, I'm sure.

Well actually its not an "MP" because it was never offically adopted by German armed forces. And it is an SMG, actually.

H&K numbering system:

first number = 5 = SMG

second number = 3 = 5.56x45mm

So HK53 stands for HK SMG, 5.56x45

Its also why proper H&K nomenclature for the MP5 is HK54 (HK SMG, 9x19mm) despite the fact that it was desinged almost 10 years before the HK53.
