What it looks like when you pull up your gun

Sorry for a lack of better words for the title.
When you look down the sights of your gun sights while stand/walking the sights should be slightly to the right or left no zoom to it or anything ... right. That could be like having both eyes open, and having the current sytle as the prone or even kneeling. or just have it for when the sights are up and walking. If this is even possible... would be interesting.

BF2 is hard coded so that your bulliets aint acturly comming out of the gun, they are comming out of w/e the center of your screen is pointing.
Also it kinda techincaly would be the center of your vision, cos when you look down a sight, you close 1 eye to focouse down the site

This isn't do-able for a couple of reasons
- Bullets are fired from the center of the camera, not the muzzle of the gun
- Even if possible, moving the gun would cause severe negative impact in accuracy because of above
- Models already close 1 eye when aiming, so simulating both eyes open isnt good either
- The zoom has been discussed to oblivion many a time and will not be removed due to situational awareness constraints when using a computer screen and in order to simulate player focus on a target, etc..
-Ghost
PS: Oh yeah, and its hardcoded lol.

That would be the "amateur" way of aiming (no offense; really!).
Keeping both eyes open is the best way to do it. Your dominant eye automatically takes over, and keeping your non-dominant eye open increases peripheral vision and helps in tracking the target.
That being said, one of my biggest gripes is how much screen space the rifle sights take up (especially the M16). This really sucks in CQB. If there was a way to make the rear peep sight "fuzzier", or semi-translucent, it would help and be closer to reality. That's why peep sights are also called "ghost" sights.

When firing Heavy-AT out the back of the flying cow, the heavy AT reticule moves about on the screen (so the reticule is almost never pointing at the center of the screen, but a centemeter or two away). Is the reticule off?

I think the latest beta patch for Armed Assault may have done this - it will never be possible with BF2 sadly. The 1st person shooting from the hip point of view drives me nuts, the weapon is held high on the shoulder not on the crook of the arm, it should be inline with your cheek at the ready

What i do instead is aim my rifle down slightly so i can see over my iron sights. Its not frequent you have to look up at the sun to find hostile troops.

^^^ I do that aswell.
The edge of the screen renders further aswell, or at least makes you see through fog.

^^^^ Same here, I never look down ironsights, but look above it instead. Then if i see an enemy I put sights on it.

QFF? What does it mean?
as for inteceptor7.... I think it depends on sitaution and distance... when shooting at 300m with iron sights, I'd prefer to close one of the eyes.... But maybe you have another opinion and other experiences than me....
