First off a tale from the battlefront...

Playing MEC on the 0,6 IGI BETA server I just got the chanse of getting my swetty hands on the SU25 Thats was after a 4-5 minutes waiting periode off course.

As a happily ran forward to the plane a noticed that a MIG 29 fell lifeless and unmanned to the ground in front of me. Luckily I skipped sideways and avoided getting the plane on my head.

Full of bravour and a steady heart I jumped into the SU25 and started the engines. Then, suddenly, out of nowhere a pilot in a parachute landed right infront of me. I reconned it was the pilot from the MIG29 that got bored of going super-sonic and wanted to fly the SU25, but got there to late.

I dont remember his name, but he had the "IGI" initials in his nametag.

"that was a close one" I told my self, and giggeled a little bit, just to let the tension out.

At warming up I had about 20 % thrust, when the plane suddenly backed a meter or two. This led to that my plane got out of "starting position" and when I pushed the forward throttle i was not exactly "spot on" the runway to say it mildly. (one wheel on the outside I guess).

Accelerating down the runway I suddenly saw the "IGI-guy" getting into a helicopter that was waiting.

This is all a just fine, you might say, but no. When I got aware of them I was 50 meter away and they were standing almost at the runway.

As I were struggeling not to shit my pants because of this unpleasant situation, I dicovered that I couldnt steer either. Then I did shit my pants AND died.

So, I TK 2 guys, wrecked a SU25 and a brand new attack heli.

Not my finest hour I'll gladly admit..

Then the IGI-guy called me an "FUCKING IDIOT" (yes, with capitol letters) and kicked me from the server.

Fair enough.. In my case I messed up badly.

So to my point.... (if there is one)

In my opinion the IGI server is sometimes full with people distrupting the gameplay, and little done to get rid of them.

Is this caused by lack of admins or a lack of rules?

What should server rules be like?

Accidents like mine will happen in reality, should I be kicked for that, while the twat that is firing randomly while he's waiting for a veichle, guns down a teammate gets way with it.

In the same way I got kicked because teammates was so eager to get on my BH that they stood under it, when I landed.

Flame me, ban me on the IGI server, TK me every time you see me on a server, visit me at my home and burn my pc, cheat on my wife, or just state your opinion on the matter....

Thats why I prefer the good old solid ground...

Only thing I took away from your post is you want all other random instances of bad behavoir kick too, admins can only see so much?

Think, his point is, that he got kicked due finding himself in a very unpleasent situation...

nonono.. not mad, only frusturated because I messed up badly once (at least this time) and disruptive players seems to be able to stay as longe as they like.

mayby my "point", if there is one, is frusturation over how negative score is calculated and irritation over my own mistake.

I dont wanna be compared to those twats who fire their gun randomly in their own spawn.

anyway, it eased the tension after the fatal incident, by writing about it.

oh yes.. I DO take my gaming seriously!

Well based on the info we have it wasn't his fault.
You don't park a helo on the runway, for any reason.
The flip side is that so many morons have been Effen around in the BETA that some people have lost their patience for simple mistakes.
If you fly/walk/drive near the flightline it's your responsibility to watch out for landing and taking off jets.
They shouldn't have to check and make sure some genius didn't park a helo on the runway while they were rolling to take off.

I dont really think you should have been kicked for an accident....

But you cant really do the "but officer THEY were speeding too", I don't know the iGi admins, and how fair they are but they cant catch everything. Being an admin is a pain in the ***, and unless they personally see the incident its kinda a touchy thing kicking/banning some one on hear-say.

Take this up via PMs or contacting the clan/Server admin in Question.
