Did i search couldnt find topics regarding the one i will show below...

With all the weight put on you and trying to tread water to make you float, it will make you a lot tired, why dont implement the sprint bar to go down when not moving in deep water. Depends on the class too, special forces can float longer cp,pared to a granadier or rifleman.

I wonder if drowning would be possible too? Quite certain a person swimming from say ... the carrier to east beach with all their kit on Jabal would stand a pretty good chance of sinking eventually. :D

I was just wondering this one of the other days.. This suggestion..

But umm, just wondering how many soldiers actualy take the swim when there's a bridge 500 meters to the east, I mean wiht all thier gear and they'll get soaked too. Annoying to run around in wet clothes+it'll suddenly be a whole lot heavier.

If it will mean they will get by the enemy unseen, then yes they will swim no matter how cold the water is (realistic distances ofcourse). Bridges and other open areas are a bad idea because of snipers and enemy surveillance.

You can drive the humvee down the hill and into the water in wake island on vbf2, you see 3 seconds of underwater glory world but then you explode. :x

I'm wondering if water effects are hardcoded...
But I agree with this suggestion.
I think the drowning bit is already in game, really not sure. I think it was present in Bf 1942 as I think I've died once while crossing the expanse of water between Wake's arms similarly to the way you lose life while out of bounds.

I bf1924 you just started to "bleed" if I remember correctly. Drowning will add a new gameplay to the game, such as using bridges!
But then again, what if you fall/eject out of a plane? Life crafts/vests anyone?

if you want to make it really realistic you make them loose their body armor after swimming (new body armor as a fast release just incase you fall into the water, but I dont think its possbile in bf2.

^^^ NOpe only to "talke off" something is by taking another kit.

Kevlar is less effective after being submerged in water, if I remember correctly... but we're all using ballistic plates, so that doesn't matter.

I thought the losing stamina effect was already in game when you used you're "sprint' key. Or are you saying stamina should be deplete even if "sprint" is not used?

Is it possible to code in swimming under water at all with this engine? I know that is one of the features that "somewhat" redeemed game play in "Joint Operations". The ability do a SEAL style beach assault/recon/evasion. There was a breath meter as well so there was no swimming under water indefinately without coming up for air.

Perhaps in the future, there would be an option for a kit that included scuba gear if the above is possible. (?)

Scuba gear=lot of coding, me says...

The more I look at it, sometimes it seems that the Black Hawk Down engine (used for Joint Operations) is better that BF2's...if only Punkbuster didnt drop anti-cheating support for the game
